Every Mood, One Bulb
One GU10 bulb, every mood. The Iris is a WiFi smart lamp that tunes from a candle-warm 2700K to a crisp 6500K daylight and, when you want something different, shifts to any of 16 million colours. Set it up in minutes in the Smart Life app, then dim, schedule, group and colour your lights from your phone or by voice through Amazon Alexa and Google Home.
It is the same lamp we fit in our Creo smart fire-rated downlight, so it is the right choice for extra Creo units, for a spare, or for bringing smart colour and tunable white to any existing GU10 spotlight or downlight. At 5W it delivers 350 lumens with a wide 100° beam, rated for 15,000 hours, and dims from 100% right down to 10% in the app. Standard GU10 push-and-twist fit, mains 220–240V, no hub required (2.4GHz WiFi).
Please note: brightness is controlled in the app or by voice, not by a wall dimmer. Fit it on a normal on/off switch. The lamp itself is IP20 and for indoor use; in bathrooms it must sit inside a fitting rated for that zone.

A few questions,

Do I need a hub to use this smart bulb?
No. The Iris connects directly to your home WiFi (2.4GHz band only — most routers broadcast one). Download the Smart Life app, add the bulb, and you can control it from your phone straight away. Link the app to Amazon Alexa or Google Home for voice control.
Can I dim it with my wall dimmer switch?
No — and please don't try. Smart bulbs need a constant supply and are dimmed in the app or by voice (10% to 100%). Fit the Iris on a standard on/off switch, or on a smart switch that only switches, never a dimmer.
Is this the bulb used in the Creo smart downlight?
Yes. Every Creo smart fire-rated downlight ships with this lamp, so the Iris is the correct spare or replacement, and the right lamp if you want to add more Creo units and keep every downlight matching.
How bright is it and what does 2700K to 6500K mean?
350 lumens from 5W, roughly what a 35W halogen GU10 gave. The white light tunes from 2700K (warm, golden, relaxing) through 4000K (neutral) to 6500K (cool, bright daylight) — so one lamp works for cosy evenings and crisp task light. The colour mode adds any of 16 million colours.
Will it fit my existing GU10 spotlights and downlights?
It has a standard GU10 twist-lock base, so it fits any mains GU10 fitting. It measures 50mm across and 58mm long, slightly longer than a basic GU10, so check the depth in very shallow fittings. If the light is switched by a dimmer, the dimmer needs replacing with a plain switch first.
Can I use it in a bathroom?
The lamp itself is IP20, so it relies on the fitting for moisture protection. It is fine in a fitting rated for the bathroom zone it sits in — for example our Creo IP65 downlight. Do not use it in an unrated fitting near a bath or shower.
