Product Care Guide
Plaster
Dust with a soft, dry cloth only. Plaster is porous, so avoid all liquid cleaners — they'll stain or mark the surface. Raw plaster fittings can be painted: use a matte emulsion in two thin coats, allowing each to dry fully before powering on. Don't install in bathrooms or other damp areas unless the IP rating allows it.
Brass & metal
Brass develops a natural patina over time, which most people prefer. To keep the current finish, wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth. For a brighter look, use a brass-specific polish sparingly. Never use lemon, vinegar, or abrasive cleaners — these damage lacquered brass irreversibly. Polished chrome and nickel finishes can be wiped with a damp microfibre cloth.
Glass
Wipe with a soft, damp cloth and dry thoroughly to avoid water marks. For stubborn marks, a mild glass cleaner is fine. Always ensure the fitting is switched off and fully cool before cleaning.
Fabric shades
Dust with a soft brush or vacuum on the lowest setting using an upholstery attachment. Avoid wet cleaning — fabric shades can stain, warp, or shrink. Spot-clean small marks only with a barely-damp microfibre cloth.
Ceramic
Glazed ceramic can be wiped with a soft, damp cloth and a mild soap solution. Unglazed or matte ceramic should be kept dry and dusted only. Always ensure the fitting is switched off and cool first.
Before you clean
Switch off at the wall and let the fitting cool fully. Never spray cleaner directly onto a fitting — apply to a cloth first. If your fitting has visible wiring, electrical components, or LED drivers exposed, keep moisture well away from these areas.

Do I need an electrician to install the Linna pendant shade?
No, the Linna is an easy-fit shade that simply clips onto your existing pendant lamp holder without any rewiring. It comes with a universal shade reducer ring that fits B22/BC, E14/SES and E27/ES lamp holders, so you can install it yourself in minutes without any electrical work or compliance with Part P regulations.
What type of bulb do I need and what is the maximum wattage?
The shade accepts bulbs with B22 (bayonet cap), E14 (small Edison screw) or E27 (Edison screw) fittings, thanks to the included reducer ring. The maximum bulb wattage is 11W, which typically means an LED bulb equivalent to around 75-100W traditional incandescent brightness. The bulb is not included, so you'll need to purchase one separately.
Can I use this shade on a dimmer switch?
Whether the Linna works with a dimmer depends entirely on the bulb you choose, not the shade itself. If your existing pendant circuit has a dimmer switch, simply fit a dimmable LED bulb with the appropriate fitting (B22, E14 or E27) rated up to 11W maximum. The fabric shade will not interfere with dimming functionality.
What are the exact dimensions of the five-tier pendant shade?
The Linna measures 350mm in diameter and 200mm in height. This makes it a medium-sized pendant shade suitable for dining tables, kitchen islands, or bedrooms where you want a statement piece without overwhelming the space. Bear in mind this is the shade only, so your total drop will depend on the flex length of your existing pendant fitting.
Is this pendant shade suitable for a bathroom or outdoor use?
No, this shade is designed for indoor use only in dry locations. It has no IP rating and the natural linen material is not moisture-resistant, so it's not suitable for bathrooms (especially not within zones requiring IP44 or higher) or any outdoor areas. Stick to living rooms, bedrooms, dining rooms and hallways.
Does the layered linen design block too much light or make the room dark?
The five tiers of natural linen are designed to diffuse rather than block light, creating a warm ambient glow rather than bright task lighting. You'll get softer, more atmospheric illumination that works well for relaxed spaces, but if you need focused task lighting for reading or cooking prep directly beneath, you may want to supplement with additional lighting. Choosing a higher lumen LED bulb (up to the 11W maximum) will help maximise brightness.
