A Sculptural Line of Light
A slender vertical statement that transforms walls into canvases of light. This minimalist stick design in brushed gold plating casts a gorgeous ambient glow backwards onto the wall, creating a sophisticated wash of warm illumination that adds depth and drama to hallways, living rooms, and bedrooms. The chunky circular base anchors the sleek 50cm profile beautifully, whilst the thin LED strip almost disappears, leaving just that luxurious backlit effect. Choose the Vireo for contemporary spaces that deserve something special.
The integrated 13W LED delivers 690 lumens of warm white light (3000K) with an impressive 20,000-30,000 hour lifespan – that's years of maintenance-free elegance. Class 2 double insulated for straightforward installation. Please note this fitting is not dimmable and is rated IP20 for indoor use only, so not suitable for bathrooms. Good to know
A few questions,
before it comes home.
Does the Vireo LED stick wall light require an electrician to install?
Yes, this is a hardwired wall light and must be installed by a qualified electrician in compliance with UK Building Regulations Part P. The fitting connects directly to your mains electrical supply and cannot simply be plugged in. Installation involves fixing the circular base plate to the wall and making permanent electrical connections, so professional installation is both required and recommended for safety.
Can this wall light be used with a dimmer switch?
No, the Vireo is not dimmable. The integrated LED module operates at a fixed output of 690 lumens and cannot be controlled by a dimmer switch. If you install it on a circuit with an existing dimmer, you'll need to replace the switch with a standard on/off switch to avoid compatibility issues or damage to the LED driver.
What colour temperature does this wall light produce?
This fitting emits a warm white light at 3000K, which creates a cosy, inviting atmosphere similar to traditional halogen lighting. At 690 lumens output from the 13W integrated LED, it provides gentle ambient illumination rather than bright task lighting, making it ideal for hallways, living rooms, and bedrooms where you want a relaxing glow.
Can I replace the LED bulb when it eventually fails?
No, this wall light uses an integrated LED module rather than a replaceable bulb. The LED is built permanently into the fitting and is designed to last many years of typical use. If the LED does eventually fail, the entire unit would need replacing, though this is covered under the 3-year manufacturer's warranty.
How far does the Vireo stick out from the wall?
The fitting has a depth of 100mm from the wall, with the circular base anchoring the slender 500mm tall vertical profile. The width is just 60mm, making it a relatively slim design that won't protrude too far into narrow hallways or passageways whilst still creating the signature backlit wall wash effect.
Is this wall light suitable for bathrooms?
No, the Vireo has an IP20 rating which means it's only suitable for dry indoor locations. It offers no protection against moisture or water ingress, so it cannot be safely installed in bathrooms or any other areas where it might be exposed to splashes or high humidity. For bathrooms, you'd need a fitting rated at least IP44 or higher depending on the zone.
