Product Care Guide
Plaster
Dust with a soft, dry cloth only. Plaster is porous, so avoid all liquid cleaners — they'll stain or mark the surface. Raw plaster fittings can be painted: use a matte emulsion in two thin coats, allowing each to dry fully before powering on. Don't install in bathrooms or other damp areas unless the IP rating allows it.
Brass & metal
Brass develops a natural patina over time, which most people prefer. To keep the current finish, wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth. For a brighter look, use a brass-specific polish sparingly. Never use lemon, vinegar, or abrasive cleaners — these damage lacquered brass irreversibly. Polished chrome and nickel finishes can be wiped with a damp microfibre cloth.
Glass
Wipe with a soft, damp cloth and dry thoroughly to avoid water marks. For stubborn marks, a mild glass cleaner is fine. Always ensure the fitting is switched off and fully cool before cleaning.
Fabric shades
Dust with a soft brush or vacuum on the lowest setting using an upholstery attachment. Avoid wet cleaning — fabric shades can stain, warp, or shrink. Spot-clean small marks only with a barely-damp microfibre cloth.
Ceramic
Glazed ceramic can be wiped with a soft, damp cloth and a mild soap solution. Unglazed or matte ceramic should be kept dry and dusted only. Always ensure the fitting is switched off and cool first.
Before you clean
Switch off at the wall and let the fitting cool fully. Never spray cleaner directly onto a fitting — apply to a cloth first. If your fitting has visible wiring, electrical components, or LED drivers exposed, keep moisture well away from these areas.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need an electrician to install the Renzo rotatable spot light?
Yes, as this is a hardwired ceiling light, installation must comply with Part P of the Building Regulations in England and Wales. Unless you're a qualified electrician or competent person, you'll need to hire a registered spark to connect it safely to your mains circuit and issue the necessary certification. The fitting mounts directly to a standard ceiling junction box or BESA box.
What type of dimmer switch works with this LED spot light?
The Renzo requires a triac dimmer switch (also called leading-edge or phase-cut dimmers) to dim smoothly without flickering. Standard rotary or trailing-edge dimmers designed for old incandescent bulbs often won't work properly with LEDs and can cause buzzing or flashing. Make sure your electrician fits a triac-compatible LED dimmer rated for low-wattage loads—this fitting draws just 9W.
Can I replace the LED bulb when it eventually fails?
No, this spot light uses an integrated LED module rather than a replaceable bulb. The LED is built into the fitting and rated for 50,000 hours of use—roughly 17 years if you use it 8 hours daily. When the LED reaches end of life, the entire fitting will need replacing, though integrated LEDs typically outlast traditional bulb-based fittings.
Is this spot light bright enough for a kitchen or do I need multiple fittings?
At 990 lumens, this single spot provides focused task lighting rather than general room illumination—it's equivalent to a traditional 75W incandescent bulb. For a full kitchen, you'd typically need multiple fittings spaced evenly, or combine it with other ceiling lights. It's ideal for accent lighting over countertops, islands, or to highlight specific areas, but won't light an entire room on its own.
Can I use the Renzo in a bathroom above the shower?
No, this fitting is rated IP20, which means it has no moisture protection and is suitable for dry indoor locations only. It must not be installed in bathroom zones 0, 1, or 2 (anywhere near baths, showers, or basins). If you need adjustable spot lighting in a bathroom, look for fittings rated IP44 or higher with specific zone certifications.
What are the exact dimensions and how far does it stick down from the ceiling?
The Renzo measures 90mm in diameter and extends 120mm down from the ceiling surface once installed. The fitting itself has a depth of 90mm, with the additional height coming from the rotatable head. Its compact cylindrical profile keeps it relatively low-profile for a fully adjustable spot, making it suitable for standard ceiling heights without feeling obtrusive.
