Colour, on your terms
Pack of 10. Ten complete Creo downlights, each with its housing, bezel and smart GU10 lamp, at a lower price per light than buying them one at a time. A good number for a large kitchen or several rooms at once.
Creo is a fire rated downlight with the smart part built in. The GU10 lamp that comes with it connects to your home Wi-Fi, so from your phone or by voice you can move from a warm 2700K white in the evening to a crisp 6500K in the morning, or wash the room in any colour you like. The matt black bezel sits just 3mm below the ceiling.
This version has a sealed glass-front bezel, which makes the whole fitting IP65. That is what you want in a bathroom, en-suite, kitchen or utility room. Your electrician will confirm the exact position against the bathroom zones.
The housing is fire rated to 30, 60 and 90 minutes in timber joist ceilings, so it keeps the fire barrier between floors intact. It needs a 65mm hole and 70mm of ceiling void, and wires in through a quick-fit terminal block. The lamp is a standard GU10, so when it eventually needs replacing you change the lamp, not the light.

Do I need a smart hub for the Creo downlight?
No. The GU10 lamp connects straight to your home Wi-Fi. Set it up in the Tuya Smart or Smart Life app on iPhone or Android, then link it to Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant if you want voice control.
Can I use it with a dimmer switch?
No. Dim it in the app or by voice instead, anywhere from 10 to 100%. Wire it to a standard on/off switch and leave the switch on, otherwise the lamp loses power and cannot be controlled. Wall dimmers are not compatible with the smart lamp.
Can I fit it in a bathroom?
Yes. This version has a sealed glass-front bezel and is rated IP65, so it is suitable for bathrooms, en-suites and shower rooms. Your electrician will confirm the exact position against the bathroom zones and fit it on an RCD-protected circuit.
What size hole does it need, and who should fit it?
A 65mm cut-out. The bezel is 85mm across and sits 3mm below the ceiling, and you need at least 70mm of clear depth in the ceiling void. It is a hardwired Class I fitting, so it must be installed by a qualified electrician, keeping fittings 50mm from joists and at least 0.5m apart.
Is it fire rated?
Yes. It is rated to 30, 60 and 90 minutes in timber joist ceilings, and 30 minutes in I-joist and steel open-web joist ceilings. The rating depends on the ceiling construction and correct installation. Do not cover it with loft insulation.
Can I replace the lamp?
Yes. It is a standard GU10, so you change the lamp and keep the fitting. The fitting takes any GU10 LED up to 10W, smart or standard. The supplied lamp is rated for around 15,000 hours.
