Product Care Guide
Plaster
Dust with a soft, dry cloth only. Plaster is porous, so avoid all liquid cleaners — they'll stain or mark the surface. Raw plaster fittings can be painted: use a matte emulsion in two thin coats, allowing each to dry fully before powering on. Don't install in bathrooms or other damp areas unless the IP rating allows it.
Brass & metal
Brass develops a natural patina over time, which most people prefer. To keep the current finish, wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth. For a brighter look, use a brass-specific polish sparingly. Never use lemon, vinegar, or abrasive cleaners — these damage lacquered brass irreversibly. Polished chrome and nickel finishes can be wiped with a damp microfibre cloth.
Glass
Wipe with a soft, damp cloth and dry thoroughly to avoid water marks. For stubborn marks, a mild glass cleaner is fine. Always ensure the fitting is switched off and fully cool before cleaning.
Fabric shades
Dust with a soft brush or vacuum on the lowest setting using an upholstery attachment. Avoid wet cleaning — fabric shades can stain, warp, or shrink. Spot-clean small marks only with a barely-damp microfibre cloth.
Ceramic
Glazed ceramic can be wiped with a soft, damp cloth and a mild soap solution. Unglazed or matte ceramic should be kept dry and dusted only. Always ensure the fitting is switched off and cool first.
Before you clean
Switch off at the wall and let the fitting cool fully. Never spray cleaner directly onto a fitting — apply to a cloth first. If your fitting has visible wiring, electrical components, or LED drivers exposed, keep moisture well away from these areas.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need an electrician to install the Renzo rotatable spot light?
Yes, this is a hardwired ceiling light and must be installed by a qualified electrician in compliance with UK Building Regulations Part P. The fitting connects directly to your mains supply at the ceiling, typically via a BESA box or junction box. DIY installation is not permitted unless you are a competent person registered with an approved scheme.
Can I replace the LED bulb in this spot light?
No, the Renzo features an integrated 9W LED module which is not user-replaceable. The LED is built into the fitting and designed to last approximately 25,000–30,000 hours under normal use. If the LED eventually fails, the entire unit would need replacing, though this is unlikely for many years given typical LED longevity.
What type of dimmer switch works with this LED spot light?
This spot light is dimmable and requires a trailing-edge (electronic) LED-compatible dimmer switch for smooth, flicker-free dimming. Standard rotary dimmers designed for incandescent bulbs will not work properly and may cause flickering or buzzing. Ensure your electrician fits an appropriate LED dimmer rated for low-wattage LED loads (minimum 10W is typical).
How bright is 990 lumens and what size room is it suitable for?
At 990 lumens, this spot light produces roughly the same brightness as a traditional 75W incandescent bulb, making it suitable for accent lighting, reading nooks, or focused task lighting. The 38° beam angle creates a concentrated pool of light rather than wide ambient illumination, so it works well for highlighting features or in small rooms like hallways, WCs, or above kitchen worktops when used in multiples.
Is this spot light suitable for bathrooms?
The specifications do not include an IP rating, which means this fitting is not rated for bathroom zones where moisture protection is required. It should only be used in dry indoor locations. For bathrooms, you would need a spot light with a minimum IP44 rating (or IP65 for shower zones).
What is the colour temperature and can I switch between warm and cool white?
This spot light emits a fixed 3000K warm white light, which gives a soft, inviting glow similar to halogen bulbs. It is not switchable or tuneable — the colour temperature remains at 3000K at all times. The exceptionally high CRI of 97 ensures colours appear accurate and natural, making it ideal for areas where colour rendering matters.
