Product Care Guide
Plaster
Dust with a soft, dry cloth only. Plaster is porous, so avoid all liquid cleaners — they'll stain or mark the surface. Raw plaster fittings can be painted: use a matte emulsion in two thin coats, allowing each to dry fully before powering on. Don't install in bathrooms or other damp areas unless the IP rating allows it.
Brass & metal
Brass develops a natural patina over time, which most people prefer. To keep the current finish, wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth. For a brighter look, use a brass-specific polish sparingly. Never use lemon, vinegar, or abrasive cleaners — these damage lacquered brass irreversibly. Polished chrome and nickel finishes can be wiped with a damp microfibre cloth.
Glass
Wipe with a soft, damp cloth and dry thoroughly to avoid water marks. For stubborn marks, a mild glass cleaner is fine. Always ensure the fitting is switched off and fully cool before cleaning.
Fabric shades
Dust with a soft brush or vacuum on the lowest setting using an upholstery attachment. Avoid wet cleaning — fabric shades can stain, warp, or shrink. Spot-clean small marks only with a barely-damp microfibre cloth.
Ceramic
Glazed ceramic can be wiped with a soft, damp cloth and a mild soap solution. Unglazed or matte ceramic should be kept dry and dusted only. Always ensure the fitting is switched off and cool first.
Before you clean
Switch off at the wall and let the fitting cool fully. Never spray cleaner directly onto a fitting — apply to a cloth first. If your fitting has visible wiring, electrical components, or LED drivers exposed, keep moisture well away from these areas.

Can this pendant light be dimmed, and what dimmer do I need?
Yes, the Solna is dimmable. Because it has an integrated LED, you'll need a trailing-edge (electronic) dimmer switch specifically designed for LED loads—older rotary dimmers meant for incandescent bulbs won't work properly and may cause flickering. Check your dimmer is rated for low-wattage LEDs (this fitting uses just 12W) and consult your electrician if you're unsure about compatibility.
What colour temperature is the light, and can it be changed?
The Solna has a fixed warm white colour temperature of 2700K, which produces a cosy, inviting glow similar to traditional incandescent bulbs. Because it uses an integrated LED module rather than replaceable bulbs, the colour temperature cannot be changed. This warm tone is ideal for living rooms, dining areas, and bedrooms where you want a relaxing atmosphere.
Can I replace the LED bulb when it eventually fails?
No, the Solna uses an integrated LED module that isn't user-replaceable like a standard bulb. However, quality integrated LEDs typically last 15,000–25,000 hours (roughly 10–15 years with normal use), so replacement is rarely needed. If the LED does fail prematurely within the warranty period, you would need to contact the manufacturer or retailer for a replacement unit.
