Product Care Guide
Plaster
Dust with a soft, dry cloth only. Plaster is porous, so avoid all liquid cleaners — they'll stain or mark the surface. Raw plaster fittings can be painted: use a matte emulsion in two thin coats, allowing each to dry fully before powering on. Don't install in bathrooms or other damp areas unless the IP rating allows it.
Brass & metal
Brass develops a natural patina over time, which most people prefer. To keep the current finish, wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth. For a brighter look, use a brass-specific polish sparingly. Never use lemon, vinegar, or abrasive cleaners — these damage lacquered brass irreversibly. Polished chrome and nickel finishes can be wiped with a damp microfibre cloth.
Glass
Wipe with a soft, damp cloth and dry thoroughly to avoid water marks. For stubborn marks, a mild glass cleaner is fine. Always ensure the fitting is switched off and fully cool before cleaning.
Fabric shades
Dust with a soft brush or vacuum on the lowest setting using an upholstery attachment. Avoid wet cleaning — fabric shades can stain, warp, or shrink. Spot-clean small marks only with a barely-damp microfibre cloth.
Ceramic
Glazed ceramic can be wiped with a soft, damp cloth and a mild soap solution. Unglazed or matte ceramic should be kept dry and dusted only. Always ensure the fitting is switched off and cool first.
Before you clean
Switch off at the wall and let the fitting cool fully. Never spray cleaner directly onto a fitting — apply to a cloth first. If your fitting has visible wiring, electrical components, or LED drivers exposed, keep moisture well away from these areas.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does the Spoiler LED wall light require an electrician to install?
Yes, this wall light is hardwired and must be installed by a qualified electrician in compliance with UK Building Regulations Part P. The installation involves connecting mains wiring directly to the fitting, typically using an existing wall junction box or BESA point. It's classified as Class I, so an earth connection is required.
Can I dim this satin gold LED wall light?
No, this fitting is not dimmable. The integrated 20W LED module operates at a fixed output and is not compatible with dimmer switches. If dimming functionality is essential, you'll need to consider an alternative wall light with dimmable driver technology.
What does CCT mean and how does it work on this wall light?
CCT stands for Correlated Colour Temperature, meaning this fitting allows you to switch between warm white (3000K), neutral white (4000K), and cool white (6500K) lighting. The colour temperature is typically changed via a wall switch sequence or a small switch on the fitting itself, letting you adjust the ambience from cosy warm tones to crisp daylight without needing multiple fixtures.
Can the bulb be replaced if the LED fails?
The Spoiler uses an integrated LED module rather than replaceable bulbs, so the LED cannot be swapped out like a traditional lamp. However, integrated LEDs typically last 25,000–50,000 hours and the fitting is covered by a 2-year warranty. If the LED fails within the warranty period, you would arrange a replacement through EnsoLight.
What are the exact dimensions and how far does it stick out from the wall?
This linear wall light measures 600mm wide, 60mm tall, and projects 85mm (8.5cm) from the wall surface. The 60cm width makes it ideal for positioning above mirrors, console tables, or along hallways where you want a horizontal wash of light along the wall.
Is this wall light suitable for bathrooms?
No, this fitting has an IP20 rating, which means it's only suitable for dry indoor locations and is not protected against moisture ingress. Bathrooms require a minimum of IP44 (or IP65 in shower zones), so this satin gold wall light is better suited to hallways, living rooms, bedrooms, or dining areas.
