Product Care Guide
Plaster
Dust with a soft, dry cloth only. Plaster is porous, so avoid all liquid cleaners — they'll stain or mark the surface. Raw plaster fittings can be painted: use a matte emulsion in two thin coats, allowing each to dry fully before powering on. Don't install in bathrooms or other damp areas unless the IP rating allows it.
Brass & metal
Brass develops a natural patina over time, which most people prefer. To keep the current finish, wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth. For a brighter look, use a brass-specific polish sparingly. Never use lemon, vinegar, or abrasive cleaners — these damage lacquered brass irreversibly. Polished chrome and nickel finishes can be wiped with a damp microfibre cloth.
Glass
Wipe with a soft, damp cloth and dry thoroughly to avoid water marks. For stubborn marks, a mild glass cleaner is fine. Always ensure the fitting is switched off and fully cool before cleaning.
Fabric shades
Dust with a soft brush or vacuum on the lowest setting using an upholstery attachment. Avoid wet cleaning — fabric shades can stain, warp, or shrink. Spot-clean small marks only with a barely-damp microfibre cloth.
Ceramic
Glazed ceramic can be wiped with a soft, damp cloth and a mild soap solution. Unglazed or matte ceramic should be kept dry and dusted only. Always ensure the fitting is switched off and cool first.
Before you clean
Switch off at the wall and let the fitting cool fully. Never spray cleaner directly onto a fitting — apply to a cloth first. If your fitting has visible wiring, electrical components, or LED drivers exposed, keep moisture well away from these areas.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I dim the Spoiler LED wall light?
No, this fitting is not dimmable. The integrated LED operates at a fixed 20W output and cannot be adjusted with dimmer switches. If you require dimming functionality, you'll need to consider an alternative wall light with dimmable specifications.
Do I need an electrician to install this wall light?
Yes, an electrician is required for installation. As a hardwired Class I fitting, it must be permanently wired into your mains electrical circuit, which constitutes notifiable work under Part P of the Building Regulations in England and Wales. The installation difficulty is rated as moderate, requiring competent connection to your wall's electrical supply.
What colour temperature does this CCT wall light offer?
The Spoiler features adjustable colour temperature ranging from 3000K (warm white) to 6500K (cool daylight). This CCT functionality allows you to select the light tone that best suits your space and mood, from cosy warm tones for living areas to crisp cool white for task-oriented environments.
Can I use this wall light in a bathroom?
No, this fitting is not suitable for bathrooms. With an IP20 rating, it offers no protection against moisture and is designed for indoor use in dry environments only. Bathrooms require a minimum of IP44 rating, and higher ratings for zones near showers or baths.
What are the dimensions and how far does it stick out from the wall?
The Spoiler measures 600mm wide, 60mm high, and projects 85mm from the wall. This slim linear profile makes it ideal for hallways, above beds, or flanking features without intruding significantly into the room space. The fitting weighs 1kg and is suitable for mounting on plasterboard, brick, or masonry walls.
Can I replace the LED bulb when it eventually fails?
No, this fitting uses an integrated LED module that cannot be replaced by the end user. The 20W LED is built into the unit as a permanent component. However, quality LEDs typically last 25,000+ hours, and the fitting comes with a 2-year warranty for peace of mind.
