Product Care Guide
Plaster
Dust with a soft, dry cloth only. Plaster is porous, so avoid all liquid cleaners — they'll stain or mark the surface. Raw plaster fittings can be painted: use a matte emulsion in two thin coats, allowing each to dry fully before powering on. Don't install in bathrooms or other damp areas unless the IP rating allows it.
Brass & metal
Brass develops a natural patina over time, which most people prefer. To keep the current finish, wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth. For a brighter look, use a brass-specific polish sparingly. Never use lemon, vinegar, or abrasive cleaners — these damage lacquered brass irreversibly. Polished chrome and nickel finishes can be wiped with a damp microfibre cloth.
Glass
Wipe with a soft, damp cloth and dry thoroughly to avoid water marks. For stubborn marks, a mild glass cleaner is fine. Always ensure the fitting is switched off and fully cool before cleaning.
Fabric shades
Dust with a soft brush or vacuum on the lowest setting using an upholstery attachment. Avoid wet cleaning — fabric shades can stain, warp, or shrink. Spot-clean small marks only with a barely-damp microfibre cloth.
Ceramic
Glazed ceramic can be wiped with a soft, damp cloth and a mild soap solution. Unglazed or matte ceramic should be kept dry and dusted only. Always ensure the fitting is switched off and cool first.
Before you clean
Switch off at the wall and let the fitting cool fully. Never spray cleaner directly onto a fitting — apply to a cloth first. If your fitting has visible wiring, electrical components, or LED drivers exposed, keep moisture well away from these areas.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can the Spoiler LED Wall Light be dimmed?
No, this wall light is not dimmable. The integrated 20W LED operates at a fixed output and is not compatible with dimmer switches. If you require dimming functionality, you'll need to consider an alternative model with dimmable LEDs.
Do I need an electrician to install this wall light?
Yes, professional installation by a qualified electrician is required. This is a hardwired Class I fitting that must be connected directly to your mains electrical supply, and under UK Building Regulations Part P, any fixed wiring work in dwellings must be carried out or certified by a competent person. The installation difficulty is rated as moderate.
What colour temperature is the LED and can it be changed?
This is a CCT (Correlated Colour Temperature) model, meaning the integrated LED can be adjusted between 3000K (warm white) and 6500K (cool daylight). The adjustment method will typically be via a switch or selector on the fitting itself—refer to the included instructions for your specific unit.
Can I replace the LED bulb when it eventually fails?
No, this fitting uses an integrated LED module rather than replaceable bulbs. The LED is built into the unit and designed to last many years of typical use. If the LED does eventually fail, the entire fitting would need to be replaced, though this is covered under the 2-year manufacturer's warranty.
What are the exact dimensions and how far does it stick out from the wall?
The Spoiler measures 600mm wide, 60mm high, and projects 85mm from the wall when surface-mounted. Its linear form makes it ideal for installation above mirrors, along hallways, or as a feature light in living rooms and bedrooms where you want a sleek horizontal accent.
Is this wall light suitable for bathrooms?
No, this fitting is rated IP20, which means it's suitable for indoor use only in dry locations. It is not protected against moisture and should not be installed in bathrooms or any areas where it may be exposed to water or high humidity. For bathrooms, you'll need a fitting rated at least IP44 or higher depending on the zone.
