Product Care Guide
Plaster
Dust with a soft, dry cloth only. Plaster is porous, so avoid all liquid cleaners — they'll stain or mark the surface. Raw plaster fittings can be painted: use a matte emulsion in two thin coats, allowing each to dry fully before powering on. Don't install in bathrooms or other damp areas unless the IP rating allows it.
Brass & metal
Brass develops a natural patina over time, which most people prefer. To keep the current finish, wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth. For a brighter look, use a brass-specific polish sparingly. Never use lemon, vinegar, or abrasive cleaners — these damage lacquered brass irreversibly. Polished chrome and nickel finishes can be wiped with a damp microfibre cloth.
Glass
Wipe with a soft, damp cloth and dry thoroughly to avoid water marks. For stubborn marks, a mild glass cleaner is fine. Always ensure the fitting is switched off and fully cool before cleaning.
Fabric shades
Dust with a soft brush or vacuum on the lowest setting using an upholstery attachment. Avoid wet cleaning — fabric shades can stain, warp, or shrink. Spot-clean small marks only with a barely-damp microfibre cloth.
Ceramic
Glazed ceramic can be wiped with a soft, damp cloth and a mild soap solution. Unglazed or matte ceramic should be kept dry and dusted only. Always ensure the fitting is switched off and cool first.
Before you clean
Switch off at the wall and let the fitting cool fully. Never spray cleaner directly onto a fitting — apply to a cloth first. If your fitting has visible wiring, electrical components, or LED drivers exposed, keep moisture well away from these areas.

Questions
Does the Tavira ceiling light require an electrician to install?
Yes, as a hardwired Class I ceiling fitting, the Tavira must be installed by a qualified electrician in compliance with UK Building Regulations Part P. The fitting will need to be connected to your mains ceiling supply and properly earthed. Most installations involve connecting to an existing ceiling rose or BESA box.
What type of bulb does this ceiling light use and is it included?
The Tavira uses G9 capsule bulbs with a maximum wattage of 11W per bulb. Bulbs are not typically included with the fitting, so you'll need to purchase G9 LED bulbs separately. G9 bulbs are widely available and the compact capsule design fits neatly within the fixture.
Can I use this light in a bathroom?
No, this ceiling light has an IP20 rating, meaning it offers no protection against moisture and is only suitable for dry indoor environments. For bathroom use, you would need a minimum of IP44 (or IP65 for shower zones), so the Tavira should be installed in living rooms, bedrooms, hallways, or other dry areas only.
Is the Tavira flush ceiling light dimmable?
Dimmability depends entirely on the G9 bulbs you choose to install, as the fitting itself does not restrict dimming. If you use dimmable G9 LED bulbs and have a compatible LED dimmer switch installed, the light can be dimmed. Always check the bulb packaging confirms compatibility with your dimmer type.
What are the dimensions of this natural stone and wood ceiling light?
The specifications provided do not include exact dimensions for the Tavira fitting. We recommend checking the product page or contacting the retailer directly for diameter and projection measurements to ensure it suits your ceiling space and room proportions before purchasing.
What is the light output and colour temperature with 11W G9 bulbs?
The 11W maximum bulb wattage refers to the fitting's limit, not the actual light output, which depends on the G9 bulbs you purchase. A typical 11W G9 LED bulb produces around 900-1,000 lumens. Colour temperature (warm white, cool white, etc.) is determined by your bulb choice, so select G9 bulbs with your preferred CCT rating, usually between 2700K and 4000K.
The Enso Standard
Anyone can sell you a light.
We’d rather sell you the right one.
Lighting, considered.
Chosen, not stocked
For every piece here, we passed on hundreds. If a fitting doesn’t earn its place, it isn’t here.
Curation is mostly the art of saying no.
Held to one standard
Copenhagen brass or precision-built LED — every piece is vetted the same way: finish, build, light quality, safety. If it doesn’t pass, it doesn’t stay.
The standard doesn’t care what a light costs.
Nothing left to guess
Every dimension, bulb, IP rating and install note published before you buy — you and your electrician know exactly what arrives.
The spec sheet is the love letter.
Backed, properly
Two-year warranty as standard, 30-day returns. If something isn’t right, we’d rather know — and put it right.
A fitting should outlast the fashion that chose it.
