Product Care Guide
Plaster
Dust with a soft, dry cloth only. Plaster is porous, so avoid all liquid cleaners — they'll stain or mark the surface. Raw plaster fittings can be painted: use a matte emulsion in two thin coats, allowing each to dry fully before powering on. Don't install in bathrooms or other damp areas unless the IP rating allows it.
Brass & metal
Brass develops a natural patina over time, which most people prefer. To keep the current finish, wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth. For a brighter look, use a brass-specific polish sparingly. Never use lemon, vinegar, or abrasive cleaners — these damage lacquered brass irreversibly. Polished chrome and nickel finishes can be wiped with a damp microfibre cloth.
Glass
Wipe with a soft, damp cloth and dry thoroughly to avoid water marks. For stubborn marks, a mild glass cleaner is fine. Always ensure the fitting is switched off and fully cool before cleaning.
Fabric shades
Dust with a soft brush or vacuum on the lowest setting using an upholstery attachment. Avoid wet cleaning — fabric shades can stain, warp, or shrink. Spot-clean small marks only with a barely-damp microfibre cloth.
Ceramic
Glazed ceramic can be wiped with a soft, damp cloth and a mild soap solution. Unglazed or matte ceramic should be kept dry and dusted only. Always ensure the fitting is switched off and cool first.
Before you clean
Switch off at the wall and let the fitting cool fully. Never spray cleaner directly onto a fitting — apply to a cloth first. If your fitting has visible wiring, electrical components, or LED drivers exposed, keep moisture well away from these areas.

Can I replace the bulb in the Verano pendant light, or is the LED fixed?
The Verano features an integrated LED module, which means the bulb is not user-replaceable. The LED is built directly into the fitting and rated for 50,000 hours of use (approximately 17 years at 8 hours per day). If the LED fails within the 2-year warranty period, the entire fitting would be covered for replacement.
Do I need an electrician to install this pendant light, or can I fit it myself?
This is a hardwired ceiling pendant, so installation involves direct connection to your mains electrical supply. Under UK Building Regulations Part P, you must either be a qualified electrician or have the work certified by a registered competent person. If you're replacing an existing ceiling light on an existing circuit, you may install it yourself, but the work should still comply with BS 7671 wiring regulations.
Is the Verano pendant light dimmable?
The product specifications do not indicate dimming capability, so this fitting should be treated as non-dimmable. Installing it on a dimmer circuit may cause flickering, buzzing, or damage to the integrated LED driver. If you require dimming functionality, you'll need to choose a different pendant light specifically marked as dimmable.
What are the exact dimensions of this pendant, and how much drop does it have from the ceiling?
The cylindrical shade measures 120mm in diameter and 150mm in height. The adjustable cable is 1.5 metres long, allowing you to set the total drop to suit your ceiling height and preference. The overall installed height will depend on how much cable you leave exposed, plus the ceiling rose height (typically around 25-30mm).
What is the maximum ceiling height this pendant works with, and can I shorten the cable?
The Verano includes a 1.5-metre adjustable cable, making it suitable for standard UK ceiling heights of 2.4m to 3m. You can shorten the cable during installation to achieve your desired drop length—excess cable can be housed inside the ceiling rose. For very high ceilings above 4 metres, you may find the maximum drop insufficient, whilst in rooms with low ceilings under 2.3m, you'll want to keep the cable quite short to maintain adequate head clearance (minimum 2m from floor to shade base is recommended).
Is 400 lumens bright enough for a dining table or kitchen island?
At 400 lumens, this pendant provides soft ambient lighting suitable for mood or accent use rather than primary task lighting. For reference, 400 lumens is roughly equivalent to a traditional 40W incandescent bulb.
