Product Care Guide
Plaster
Dust with a soft, dry cloth only. Plaster is porous, so avoid all liquid cleaners — they'll stain or mark the surface. Raw plaster fittings can be painted: use a matte emulsion in two thin coats, allowing each to dry fully before powering on. Don't install in bathrooms or other damp areas unless the IP rating allows it.
Brass & metal
Brass develops a natural patina over time, which most people prefer. To keep the current finish, wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth. For a brighter look, use a brass-specific polish sparingly. Never use lemon, vinegar, or abrasive cleaners — these damage lacquered brass irreversibly. Polished chrome and nickel finishes can be wiped with a damp microfibre cloth.
Glass
Wipe with a soft, damp cloth and dry thoroughly to avoid water marks. For stubborn marks, a mild glass cleaner is fine. Always ensure the fitting is switched off and fully cool before cleaning.
Fabric shades
Dust with a soft brush or vacuum on the lowest setting using an upholstery attachment. Avoid wet cleaning — fabric shades can stain, warp, or shrink. Spot-clean small marks only with a barely-damp microfibre cloth.
Ceramic
Glazed ceramic can be wiped with a soft, damp cloth and a mild soap solution. Unglazed or matte ceramic should be kept dry and dusted only. Always ensure the fitting is switched off and cool first.
Before you clean
Switch off at the wall and let the fitting cool fully. Never spray cleaner directly onto a fitting — apply to a cloth first. If your fitting has visible wiring, electrical components, or LED drivers exposed, keep moisture well away from these areas.

Questions
Does the Talia wall light need to be installed by a qualified electrician?
Yes, as a mains-voltage hardwired Class I fitting, the Talia must be installed by a competent person in compliance with UK Building Regulations Part P. The fitting requires an earth connection and should be wired into a suitable wall mounting point, typically a BESA box or flush backbox with appropriate cabling. If you're installing it in a new circuit or special location like a bathroom, you'll need a registered electrician to certify the work.
Can I use this wall light outdoors or in a bathroom?
Yes to both. The Talia has an IP44 rating, making it splash-proof and suitable for outdoor use under shelter (such as covered porches or eaves) as well as bathroom zones 2 and 3. For outdoor installations, ensure it's protected from direct rainfall and standing water. In bathrooms, keep it at least 60cm away from the bath or shower (zone 2 minimum) and follow IET Wiring Regulations for bathroom electrical installations.
What type of bulb does this fitting take and is it dimmable?
The Talia requires a GU10 bulb with a maximum wattage of 2W per socket (so 4W total for both up and down lights). GU10 LED bulbs are widely available in various colour temperatures. Whether it's dimmable depends entirely on the bulb you choose—you'll need dimmable GU10 LEDs and a compatible dimmer switch, as the fitting itself has no built-in dimming limitation.
What are the exact dimensions of this wall light?
The Talia measures 150mm in height, 68mm in width, and projects 92mm from the wall. This compact profile makes it suitable for narrower hallways, patios, or beside doorways where a slimmer fitting is needed. The wood effect aluminium body provides a modern aesthetic without taking up much visual or physical space.
How bright will this wall light be with 2W GU10 bulbs?
With a maximum of 2W per GU10 socket, you're limited to very low-wattage LED bulbs—typically around 200 lumens per bulb, totalling approximately 400 lumens for both up and down beams combined. This provides subtle accent or decorative lighting rather than primary illumination, making the Talia best suited for ambient lighting, pathways, or highlighting architectural features rather than task lighting.
Is this wall light suitable for coastal or exposed outdoor locations?
Not for fully exposed areas. While the IP44 rating protects against splashing water, it's not weatherproof enough for unsheltered coastal positions or locations with driving rain and salt spray. The Talia is best installed under eaves, canopies, or covered porches where it's shielded from direct weather. For fully exposed coastal installations, you'd need a minimum IP65-rated fitting with corrosion-resistant certification.
The Enso Standard
Anyone can sell you a light.
We’d rather sell you the right one.
Lighting, considered.
Chosen, not stocked
For every piece here, we passed on hundreds. If a fitting doesn’t earn its place, it isn’t here.
Curation is mostly the art of saying no.
Held to one standard
Copenhagen brass or precision-built LED — every piece is vetted the same way: finish, build, light quality, safety. If it doesn’t pass, it doesn’t stay.
The standard doesn’t care what a light costs.
Nothing left to guess
Every dimension, bulb, IP rating and install note published before you buy — you and your electrician know exactly what arrives.
The spec sheet is the love letter.
Backed, properly
Two-year warranty as standard, 30-day returns. If something isn’t right, we’d rather know — and put it right.
A fitting should outlast the fashion that chose it.
