Product Care Guide
Plaster
Dust with a soft, dry cloth only. Plaster is porous, so avoid all liquid cleaners — they'll stain or mark the surface. Raw plaster fittings can be painted: use a matte emulsion in two thin coats, allowing each to dry fully before powering on. Don't install in bathrooms or other damp areas unless the IP rating allows it.
Brass & metal
Brass develops a natural patina over time, which most people prefer. To keep the current finish, wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth. For a brighter look, use a brass-specific polish sparingly. Never use lemon, vinegar, or abrasive cleaners — these damage lacquered brass irreversibly. Polished chrome and nickel finishes can be wiped with a damp microfibre cloth.
Glass
Wipe with a soft, damp cloth and dry thoroughly to avoid water marks. For stubborn marks, a mild glass cleaner is fine. Always ensure the fitting is switched off and fully cool before cleaning.
Fabric shades
Dust with a soft brush or vacuum on the lowest setting using an upholstery attachment. Avoid wet cleaning — fabric shades can stain, warp, or shrink. Spot-clean small marks only with a barely-damp microfibre cloth.
Ceramic
Glazed ceramic can be wiped with a soft, damp cloth and a mild soap solution. Unglazed or matte ceramic should be kept dry and dusted only. Always ensure the fitting is switched off and cool first.
Before you clean
Switch off at the wall and let the fitting cool fully. Never spray cleaner directly onto a fitting — apply to a cloth first. If your fitting has visible wiring, electrical components, or LED drivers exposed, keep moisture well away from these areas.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does the Tekfur Black Marble Wall Sconce require an electrician to install?
Yes, as this is a hardwired wall light, installation must comply with UK Building Regulations Part P. Unless you are a qualified electrician or competent person, you'll need to hire a registered electrician to connect it to your mains circuit safely and legally. The fitting mounts to a standard wall bracket or BESA box.
Can I replace the bulb in this wall light, or is the LED permanent?
This wall sconce has an integrated LED module, meaning the LED is built into the fitting and cannot be replaced like a traditional bulb. Integrated LEDs typically last 20,000–30,000 hours, which equates to many years of normal use. If the LED eventually fails, the entire unit would need replacing.
Is the Tekfur Black Marble Wall Sconce dimmable?
The product specifications do not indicate dimming capability, so this wall light is not dimmable. If dimming is essential for your space, you'll need to choose a different fitting that explicitly supports dimming with a compatible trailing edge or leading edge dimmer switch.
What are the exact dimensions of this wall sconce?
The Tekfur measures 600mm in height and 90mm in width, giving it a tall, linear profile. This substantial size makes it particularly suited to flanking mirrors, highlighting artwork, or adding sculptural interest in hallways, living rooms, or bedrooms with higher ceilings.
Can this wall light be used in a bathroom?
The specifications do not list an IP rating, which means this fitting is not certified for bathroom zones where moisture protection is required. It's designed for indoor use in dry locations only, such as living rooms, hallways, or bedrooms away from direct water exposure.
How bright is this wall sconce with only 1 watt?
At just 1 watt, this integrated LED produces a very low light output—likely under 100 lumens. The Tekfur is designed primarily as an accent or decorative feature light rather than a primary light source, ideal for creating ambience or highlighting architectural details rather than illuminating an entire room.
