Product Care Guide
Plaster
Dust with a soft, dry cloth only. Plaster is porous, so avoid all liquid cleaners — they'll stain or mark the surface. Raw plaster fittings can be painted: use a matte emulsion in two thin coats, allowing each to dry fully before powering on. Don't install in bathrooms or other damp areas unless the IP rating allows it.
Brass & metal
Brass develops a natural patina over time, which most people prefer. To keep the current finish, wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth. For a brighter look, use a brass-specific polish sparingly. Never use lemon, vinegar, or abrasive cleaners — these damage lacquered brass irreversibly. Polished chrome and nickel finishes can be wiped with a damp microfibre cloth.
Glass
Wipe with a soft, damp cloth and dry thoroughly to avoid water marks. For stubborn marks, a mild glass cleaner is fine. Always ensure the fitting is switched off and fully cool before cleaning.
Fabric shades
Dust with a soft brush or vacuum on the lowest setting using an upholstery attachment. Avoid wet cleaning — fabric shades can stain, warp, or shrink. Spot-clean small marks only with a barely-damp microfibre cloth.
Ceramic
Glazed ceramic can be wiped with a soft, damp cloth and a mild soap solution. Unglazed or matte ceramic should be kept dry and dusted only. Always ensure the fitting is switched off and cool first.
Before you clean
Switch off at the wall and let the fitting cool fully. Never spray cleaner directly onto a fitting — apply to a cloth first. If your fitting has visible wiring, electrical components, or LED drivers exposed, keep moisture well away from these areas.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does this wall light need to be installed by a qualified electrician?
Yes, the Vega is hardwired and must be installed by a qualified electrician in compliance with UK Building Regulations Part P. The light connects directly to your mains circuit and requires proper isolation and safe termination of live, neutral, and earth conductors. If you're replacing an existing wall light with a standard back box, installation is typically straightforward for a professional.
Can I use this bedside wall light with a dimmer switch?
The product specifications do not indicate dimming compatibility, so this fitting should be assumed non-dimmable. The integrated 3W LED operates at a fixed light output and attempting to use it with a standard dimmer switch may cause flickering, buzzing, or damage to the driver. If dimming is essential for your bedside lighting, you'll need to select an alternative fitting with explicit dimmable LED driver support.
What colour temperature is the light and is it suitable for reading in bed?
This fitting emits warm white light at 3000K, which provides a comfortable, slightly warm glow ideal for bedtime reading without being too harsh or clinical. The 45° beam angle and rotatable 320° head allow you to direct the light precisely where needed, making it well-suited for focused bedside reading tasks. At 3W output, it provides adequate task lighting for reading while maintaining a relaxing bedroom ambience.
Can I replace the LED bulb when it eventually fails?
No, this is an integrated LED fitting, meaning the LED module is built into the light and cannot be replaced like a traditional bulb. Integrated LEDs typically last 15,000–25,000 hours, which equates to many years of normal use. When the LED eventually reaches end of life, the entire fitting would need to be replaced, though the 2-year warranty covers any premature failures.
What are the dimensions and how far does it protrude from the wall?
The fitting has a diameter of 80mm at its widest point. The specifications provided don't include projection depth, but rotatable bedside reading lights of this type typically extend 150–250mm from the wall when the arm is angled outward. For exact projection measurements to ensure clearance above your bedside table or headboard, we recommend contacting customer service before purchase.
Is this wall light suitable for use in a bathroom?
No, this fitting is rated for indoor use only and carries no IP rating in the specifications, making it unsuitable for bathroom installation. UK bathroom lighting regulations require specific IP ratings depending on the zone (IP65+ for zones 1 and 2), and this aluminium wall light lacks the necessary moisture protection. It's designed for dry indoor locations such as bedrooms, living rooms, and hallways.
