Unless you're a qualified electrician or competent person, you'll need to hire a registered spark to carry out the work and certify it. The fitting itself is rated as 'easy' to install once the electrical connection is made, typically mounting to a standard BESA box.

For general ambient lighting, mount the centre of the fitting 1.5–1.7m above floor level — this keeps the light at a comfortable height that avoids glare whilst casting even illumination up and down the wall. If you're flanking a mirror, bedside table or kitchen counter, drop it lower to 1.0–1.2m above the surface so the light pools where you need it most. Given its slim 87mm projection and 200mm height, it works beautifully in runs of two or three along hallways or staircases at regular 1.5–2m intervals.

It's rated IP20, so it's only suitable for bathroom zones outside the designated wet areas — typically Zone 3 (more than 600mm from the bath/shower) or beyond.
