Product Care Guide
Plaster
Dust with a soft, dry cloth only. Plaster is porous, so avoid all liquid cleaners — they'll stain or mark the surface. Raw plaster fittings can be painted: use a matte emulsion in two thin coats, allowing each to dry fully before powering on. Don't install in bathrooms or other damp areas unless the IP rating allows it.
Brass & metal
Brass develops a natural patina over time, which most people prefer. To keep the current finish, wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth. For a brighter look, use a brass-specific polish sparingly. Never use lemon, vinegar, or abrasive cleaners — these damage lacquered brass irreversibly. Polished chrome and nickel finishes can be wiped with a damp microfibre cloth.
Glass
Wipe with a soft, damp cloth and dry thoroughly to avoid water marks. For stubborn marks, a mild glass cleaner is fine. Always ensure the fitting is switched off and fully cool before cleaning.
Fabric shades
Dust with a soft brush or vacuum on the lowest setting using an upholstery attachment. Avoid wet cleaning — fabric shades can stain, warp, or shrink. Spot-clean small marks only with a barely-damp microfibre cloth.
Ceramic
Glazed ceramic can be wiped with a soft, damp cloth and a mild soap solution. Unglazed or matte ceramic should be kept dry and dusted only. Always ensure the fitting is switched off and cool first.
Before you clean
Switch off at the wall and let the fitting cool fully. Never spray cleaner directly onto a fitting — apply to a cloth first. If your fitting has visible wiring, electrical components, or LED drivers exposed, keep moisture well away from these areas.

Questions
Is the Calla E14 bulb compatible with standard dimmer switches?
Yes, this bulb is fully dimmable and works with most leading-edge and trailing-edge dimmer switches. At 3.5W, it draws very little power, so ensure your dimmer is rated for low-wattage LED loads to avoid flickering. If you experience any issues, an LED-compatible dimmer may be required.
What colour temperature is 'very warm white' and how does it compare to traditional bulbs?
This bulb emits light at 2,700 Kelvin, which produces a soft, yellowish glow similar to traditional incandescent or halogen bulbs. It's ideal for creating a cosy, inviting atmosphere in living rooms, bedrooms, and dining areas. The CRI of 80 ensures colours appear reasonably natural under this warm light.
Can I use this E14 bulb in a bathroom or wet area?
No, the Calla has an IP20 rating, which means it's only suitable for dry indoor environments with no exposure to moisture. For bathroom use, you'd need a fitting with a minimum IP44 rating for zones 2 and 3, or higher ratings for zones 0 and 1.
Do I need an electrician to install this pendant light, or can I fit it myself?
Under UK Building Regulations Part P, you can replace an existing pendant light fixture yourself on a like-for-like basis without notifying Building Control. However, if you're installing a new circuit, adding a light where none existed, or working in a special location like a bathroom, you must use a qualified electrician or notify your local authority.
What is the actual wattage and light output of this bulb?
The bulb consumes 3.5W of power (though the specs also reference 4W, likely the fitting's total draw). While the exact lumen output isn't specified, a 3.5W very warm white LED typically produces around 250-350 lumens, equivalent to roughly a 25-30W incandescent bulb—suitable for ambient or accent lighting rather than task lighting.
Is the E14 bulb included or do I need to purchase it separately?
The product name suggests this is the bulb itself rather than a complete pendant fitting, so the Calla E14 3.5W LED bulb should be the item you're purchasing. The clear glass design and polycarbonate construction are part of the bulb's build. If you're looking for a pendant fixture that uses E14 bulbs, you'll need to purchase that separately.
The Enso Standard
Anyone can sell you a light.
We’d rather sell you the right one.
Lighting, considered.
Chosen, not stocked
For every piece here, we passed on hundreds. If a fitting doesn’t earn its place, it isn’t here.
Curation is mostly the art of saying no.
Held to one standard
Copenhagen brass or precision-built LED — every piece is vetted the same way: finish, build, light quality, safety. If it doesn’t pass, it doesn’t stay.
The standard doesn’t care what a light costs.
Nothing left to guess
Every dimension, bulb, IP rating and install note published before you buy — you and your electrician know exactly what arrives.
The spec sheet is the love letter.
Backed, properly
Two-year warranty as standard, 30-day returns. If something isn’t right, we’d rather know — and put it right.
A fitting should outlast the fashion that chose it.
