Product Care Guide
Plaster
Dust with a soft, dry cloth only. Plaster is porous, so avoid all liquid cleaners — they'll stain or mark the surface. Raw plaster fittings can be painted: use a matte emulsion in two thin coats, allowing each to dry fully before powering on. Don't install in bathrooms or other damp areas unless the IP rating allows it.
Brass & metal
Brass develops a natural patina over time, which most people prefer. To keep the current finish, wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth. For a brighter look, use a brass-specific polish sparingly. Never use lemon, vinegar, or abrasive cleaners — these damage lacquered brass irreversibly. Polished chrome and nickel finishes can be wiped with a damp microfibre cloth.
Glass
Wipe with a soft, damp cloth and dry thoroughly to avoid water marks. For stubborn marks, a mild glass cleaner is fine. Always ensure the fitting is switched off and fully cool before cleaning.
Fabric shades
Dust with a soft brush or vacuum on the lowest setting using an upholstery attachment. Avoid wet cleaning — fabric shades can stain, warp, or shrink. Spot-clean small marks only with a barely-damp microfibre cloth.
Ceramic
Glazed ceramic can be wiped with a soft, damp cloth and a mild soap solution. Unglazed or matte ceramic should be kept dry and dusted only. Always ensure the fitting is switched off and cool first.
Before you clean
Switch off at the wall and let the fitting cool fully. Never spray cleaner directly onto a fitting — apply to a cloth first. If your fitting has visible wiring, electrical components, or LED drivers exposed, keep moisture well away from these areas.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does the Kruk Concrete Pendant Light require an electrician to install?
Yes, this is a hardwired pendant fitting and must be installed by a qualified electrician in compliance with UK Building Regulations Part P. The installation difficulty is rated as moderate, typically involving connection to ceiling wiring via a BESA box or junction box and mounting to plasterboard, timber joists, or concrete ceilings. Professional installation ensures safe earthing, as this is a Class I fitting.
What type of bulb does this concrete pendant take and is one included?
The Kruk uses a single GU10 bulb with a maximum wattage of 35W, and no bulb is included with the fitting. You'll need to purchase a GU10 bulb separately—we recommend an LED GU10 for energy efficiency. The downward-facing lampholder is ideal for directional spotlighting over kitchen islands or dining tables.
Can I dim the Kruk Concrete Pendant Light?
Yes, this pendant is dimmable when fitted with a dimmable GU10 bulb and a trailing edge dimmer switch. Trailing edge dimmers are specifically designed for LED and low-wattage bulbs, providing smooth dimming without flicker. Ensure both your bulb and dimmer are compatible to achieve the best performance.
What are the dimensions of this concrete pendant and how low does it hang?
The fitting measures 70mm in diameter and has a total drop height of 1300mm from ceiling to base, making it a slender tubular design. This height works well over kitchen islands or dining tables where you need focused downward light without obstruction. The compact 70mm width suits narrow spaces like hallways or can be clustered in multiples for greater impact.
Is the Kruk Concrete Pendant suitable for bathrooms?
No, this pendant has an IP20 rating, which means it offers no protection against moisture and is suitable for indoor dry areas only. It cannot be installed in bathrooms or other wet environments. For bathroom lighting, you'll need fittings with a minimum IP44 rating (or IP65 for shower zones).
What warranty does this concrete pendant light come with?
The Kruk Concrete Pendant Light is covered by a 2-year manufacturer's warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. The fitting is CE marked and RoHS compliant, meeting UK safety and environmental standards. Note that the warranty covers the fitting itself; bulbs are consumable items and are not covered.
