Yes, as this is a hardwired ceiling fitting, it must be installed in compliance with UK Building Regulations Part P. Unless you are a qualified electrician or competent person, you'll need to hire a registered sparks to connect it to your mains supply. The Gabriel is Class II (double-insulated), so it doesn't require an earth connection.
What bulbs do I need for this square plaster ceiling light?
This fitting requires 2 x E27 ES (Edison Screw) bulbs, with a maximum wattage of 25W per bulb. Bulbs are not included, so you'll need to purchase them separately. You can use LED, halogen, or traditional incandescent E27 bulbs up to 25W each, and the fitting is dimmable if you choose dimmable bulbs and pair them with a compatible dimmer switch.
Can I paint the Gabriel plaster ceiling light?
Yes, the Gabriel features a paintable white plaster finish, allowing you to customise it to match your ceiling or décor. Use a suitable emulsion or paint designed for plaster surfaces, and ensure you mask off the glass diffuser and any electrical components before painting.
