Adjustable suspension cords let you customise the drop to suit your ceiling height, whilst the fitting is fully dimmable when paired with compatible E27 bulbs (three required, not included). Does the Lantana triple pendant require an electrician to install?
Yes, this is a hardwired ceiling fitting and under Part P of the Building Regulations in England and Wales, you'll need a qualified electrician or registered competent person to install it safely and certify the work. The installation itself is rated as easy — it mounts to standard plasterboard, timber joist or concrete ceilings — but the electrical connection to the mains must be done by a professional.
Can I dim this pendant light and what type of dimmer do I need?
Yes, the Lantana is dimmable provided you fit dimmable E27 bulbs (sold separately). You'll need a trailing edge LED-compatible dimmer switch, which works smoothly with modern LED bulbs and avoids flickering or buzzing. Standard rotary or older leading edge dimmers are not recommended as they can cause compatibility issues with LED lamps.
What bulbs do I need for the Lantana triple pendant and are they included?
You'll need three E27 screw-in bulbs with a maximum wattage of 12W each — bulbs are not included. We recommend LED E27 bulbs in 2700K warm white for a cosy glow that complements the warm beige fabric, and make sure they're marked as dimmable if you plan to use a dimmer switch.
What are the dimensions and how low does this pendant hang?
The fitting has a diameter of 520mm and a total drop of 1800mm from ceiling to the lowest point. The cable length is height-adjustable, so you can shorten it during installation to suit your ceiling height — ideal for positioning above a dining table where you typically want the lowest shade around 700-900mm above the tabletop.
Is this pendant suitable for a bathroom or wet room?
No, the Lantana has an IP20 rating, which means it's only protected against solid objects larger than 12.5mm and has no moisture protection. It's designed for dry indoor spaces only — living rooms, dining rooms and bedrooms — and must not be installed in bathrooms, kitchens near sinks, or any zone-classified wet areas.
What warranty does this pendant come with?
The Lantana is covered by a 2-year manufacturer's warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. The fitting is CE marked and RoHS compliant, ensuring it meets UK safety and environmental standards.
