The Natipe requires a standard E27 Edison screw bulb, which is not included in the box. You'll need to purchase one separately—we recommend a warm white LED (2700K) for the most natural glow through the rattan weave. Given the open, woven design, avoid overly bright bulbs; a 6–10W LED (equivalent to 40–60W incandescent) usually provides ample ambient light without glare.

The pendant shade itself is compatible with dimming, but you'll need to pair it with a dimmable E27 LED bulb and ensure your dimmer switch is rated for LED loads. Standard rotary dimmers designed for old incandescent bulbs often cause flickering or buzzing with LEDs, so check compatibility or upgrade to an LED-compatible dimmer if necessary.

Under Part P of the Building Regulations in England and Wales, you may replace an existing ceiling pendant on a like-for-like basis yourself, provided you're competent and the circuit remains unaltered.
