Product Care Guide
Plaster
Dust with a soft, dry cloth only. Plaster is porous, so avoid all liquid cleaners — they'll stain or mark the surface. Raw plaster fittings can be painted: use a matte emulsion in two thin coats, allowing each to dry fully before powering on. Don't install in bathrooms or other damp areas unless the IP rating allows it.
Brass & metal
Brass develops a natural patina over time, which most people prefer. To keep the current finish, wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth. For a brighter look, use a brass-specific polish sparingly. Never use lemon, vinegar, or abrasive cleaners — these damage lacquered brass irreversibly. Polished chrome and nickel finishes can be wiped with a damp microfibre cloth.
Glass
Wipe with a soft, damp cloth and dry thoroughly to avoid water marks. For stubborn marks, a mild glass cleaner is fine. Always ensure the fitting is switched off and fully cool before cleaning.
Fabric shades
Dust with a soft brush or vacuum on the lowest setting using an upholstery attachment. Avoid wet cleaning — fabric shades can stain, warp, or shrink. Spot-clean small marks only with a barely-damp microfibre cloth.
Ceramic
Glazed ceramic can be wiped with a soft, damp cloth and a mild soap solution. Unglazed or matte ceramic should be kept dry and dusted only. Always ensure the fitting is switched off and cool first.
Before you clean
Switch off at the wall and let the fitting cool fully. Never spray cleaner directly onto a fitting — apply to a cloth first. If your fitting has visible wiring, electrical components, or LED drivers exposed, keep moisture well away from these areas.

Questions
What type of bulb does the Tuzo rattan pendant take and is it included?
The Tuzo uses a standard E27 screw fitting, which is the most common large bulb base in the UK. The bulb is not included, so you'll need to purchase one separately. We'd recommend an LED filament bulb in warm white (2700K) to complement the natural rattan and create a cosy ambience.
Can I use a dimmer switch with this rattan pendant light?
The fitting itself is compatible with dimming, but you'll need to pair it with a dimmable E27 bulb and have a dimmer switch installed on your lighting circuit. If you don't currently have a dimmer switch, you'll need a qualified electrician to fit one in compliance with Part P Building Regulations.
Do I need an electrician to install the Tuzo pendant, or can I fit it myself?
If you're simply replacing an existing pendant light fitting on a like-for-like basis, you can legally install it yourself in England and Wales without notifying Building Control. However, if you're adding a new lighting point, altering the circuit, or working in a bathroom, the work must be done by a Part P qualified electrician or notified to Building Control. The Tuzo weighs just 0.88kg, so standard ceiling fixings are sufficient.
What are the exact dimensions of this pendant light and how low will it hang?
The rattan shade is 45cm in diameter, making it ideal for dining tables or medium-sized rooms without dominating the space. The total drop length will depend on how much flex you leave and whether you use a ceiling rose or cord grip, but you should allow at least 30-40cm from ceiling to the top of the shade, with the shade itself adding further depth.
Is this rattan pendant suitable for a bathroom?
No, the Tuzo has no IP rating and is not suitable for bathrooms or other moisture-prone areas. Rattan is a natural material that can be damaged by sustained humidity and steam, and the fitting is only designed for use in dry interior spaces. For bathrooms, you'd need a light with a minimum IP44 rating depending on the zone.
Will the woven rattan shade block too much light or make the room dark?
The open weave design allows plenty of light to filter through while creating beautiful shadow patterns on your ceiling and walls. The effect is ambient rather than task-focused, so it works best as mood lighting or paired with other light sources in larger rooms. Choose a higher lumen output bulb (800+ lumens) if you need more functional brightness.
