The Bay brings contemporary sophistication to your home's exterior with its sleek semi-circular silhouette in matt black. Two E27 lampholders cast a gentle, indirect glow that washes your walls with atmospheric light—perfect for framing a front door, illuminating a garden wall, or adding subtle ambience to your terrace. The effect is understated yet striking, creating a welcoming focal point that enhances modern architecture beautifully.
Built for outdoor performance, this fitting boasts an IP44 rating to withstand the elements whilst maintaining its refined appearance. The twin lampholders give you flexibility to choose your preferred light sources (bulbs sold separately), and with dimmable compatibility using a trailing edge dimmer, you can adjust the mood to suit any occasion. Quality metal construction ensures lasting durability, whilst Class II double insulation provides safe, reliable operation.

Good to know
A few questions,
before it comes home.
Is the Bay outdoor wall light suitable for use in exposed locations or rainy conditions?
Yes, the Bay has an IP44 rating, which means it's protected against splashing water from any direction and is suitable for most outdoor locations including porches, garden walls, and terrace areas. However, IP44 is not appropriate for areas with high-pressure water jets or full submersion, so avoid placing it where it will face direct hosing or heavy water exposure.
What type of bulbs does this wall light require and are they included?
The Bay uses two standard E27 screw bulbs (the most common large Edison screw fitting in the UK) with a maximum wattage of 12W each. Bulbs are not included, so you'll need to purchase two E27 bulbs separately—LED bulbs are recommended for energy efficiency and longevity in outdoor applications.
Can I install the Bay wall light myself or do I need an electrician?
Because this is a hardwired outdoor fitting, installation falls under Part P of the Building Regulations in England and Wales, and you'll need a qualified electrician to carry out the work safely and legally. The fitting has a moderate installation difficulty and is suitable for mounting on plasterboard, brick, or masonry walls, but professional installation ensures compliance and proper weatherproof connection.
Is this outdoor wall light dimmable and what dimmer switch do I need?
Yes, the Bay is dimmable provided you fit it with dimmable E27 bulbs and use a trailing edge dimmer switch. The dimmer type must be matched to your bulb technology (LED bulbs require LED-compatible trailing edge dimmers), and your electrician can advise on the correct dimmer module during installation.
What are the dimensions of the Bay wall light and how far does it project from the wall?
The Bay measures 270mm wide, 143mm tall, and projects 150mm from the wall. This relatively compact footprint makes it ideal for framing doorways or mounting either side of an entrance without protruding too far into walkways or narrow passages.
What warranty does this outdoor wall light come with?
The Bay outdoor wall light is covered by a 2-year manufacturer's warranty from the date of purchase. This covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal use, giving you peace of mind for your outdoor lighting installation.
