Product Care Guide
Plaster
Dust with a soft, dry cloth only. Plaster is porous, so avoid all liquid cleaners — they'll stain or mark the surface. Raw plaster fittings can be painted: use a matte emulsion in two thin coats, allowing each to dry fully before powering on. Don't install in bathrooms or other damp areas unless the IP rating allows it.
Brass & metal
Brass develops a natural patina over time, which most people prefer. To keep the current finish, wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth. For a brighter look, use a brass-specific polish sparingly. Never use lemon, vinegar, or abrasive cleaners — these damage lacquered brass irreversibly. Polished chrome and nickel finishes can be wiped with a damp microfibre cloth.
Glass
Wipe with a soft, damp cloth and dry thoroughly to avoid water marks. For stubborn marks, a mild glass cleaner is fine. Always ensure the fitting is switched off and fully cool before cleaning.
Fabric shades
Dust with a soft brush or vacuum on the lowest setting using an upholstery attachment. Avoid wet cleaning — fabric shades can stain, warp, or shrink. Spot-clean small marks only with a barely-damp microfibre cloth.
Ceramic
Glazed ceramic can be wiped with a soft, damp cloth and a mild soap solution. Unglazed or matte ceramic should be kept dry and dusted only. Always ensure the fitting is switched off and cool first.
Before you clean
Switch off at the wall and let the fitting cool fully. Never spray cleaner directly onto a fitting — apply to a cloth first. If your fitting has visible wiring, electrical components, or LED drivers exposed, keep moisture well away from these areas.

Is the Ember E27 LED bulb dimmable?
No, this bulb is not dimmable. It operates at a fixed 4W output with 450 lumens at 2000K. If you require dimming functionality, you'll need to select a different bulb from our dimmable range.
What does 2000K colour temperature look like compared to normal warm white bulbs?
At 2000K, this bulb produces an ultra warm amber glow similar to candlelight or a traditional filament bulb on a dimmer at its lowest setting. Standard warm white bulbs are typically 2700K–3000K, which appear noticeably cooler and whiter by comparison. The 2000K tone is ideal for creating intimate, relaxed atmospheres in dining rooms, bedrooms, or lounge areas.
Will this bulb fit a standard E27 lamp holder?
Yes, the Ember uses a standard E27 Edison Screw (ES) fitting, which is the most common large screw cap in the UK. At 160mm tall and 60mm wide, it will fit most table lamps, floor lamps, and pendants designed for standard bulbs, though you should check clearance in enclosed or compact fittings.
Can I use this LED bulb in a bathroom or outdoor light fitting?
No, this bulb is rated IP20, meaning it has no moisture protection and is suitable for dry indoor locations only. It cannot be used in bathrooms (which require minimum IP44 for zones 1 and 2) or any outdoor settings.
How bright is 450 lumens and what size room will it light?
At 450 lumens, this bulb is equivalent to a traditional 40W incandescent bulb in light output. It's best suited for accent, ambient, or mood lighting in smaller areas such as bedside tables, dining tables, or cosy corners—it won't provide enough brightness as the sole light source in a large living room or kitchen.
What warranty does this LED bulb come with?
