You'll need a registered electrician or competent person to install it safely and certify the work. The fitting recesses 140mm into the wall, so some preparation of the wall cavity will also be required during installation.
Can I replace the LED bulb in this fitting when it eventually fails?
No, the Defoe uses an integrated LED module rather than a replaceable bulb. The 3W LED and driver are built into the unit as a permanent fixture. Integrated LEDs typically last 15,000–25,000 hours, which translates to many years of normal use, but when the LED eventually reaches end of life, the entire fitting would need replacing.
Is this wall light dimmable?
The specifications do not indicate dimming capability, so the Defoe should be treated as non-dimmable. Installing it on a dimmer circuit could cause flickering, buzzing, or damage to the integral driver.
