Product Care Guide
Plaster
Dust with a soft, dry cloth only. Plaster is porous, so avoid all liquid cleaners — they'll stain or mark the surface. Raw plaster fittings can be painted: use a matte emulsion in two thin coats, allowing each to dry fully before powering on. Don't install in bathrooms or other damp areas unless the IP rating allows it.
Brass & metal
Brass develops a natural patina over time, which most people prefer. To keep the current finish, wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth. For a brighter look, use a brass-specific polish sparingly. Never use lemon, vinegar, or abrasive cleaners — these damage lacquered brass irreversibly. Polished chrome and nickel finishes can be wiped with a damp microfibre cloth.
Glass
Wipe with a soft, damp cloth and dry thoroughly to avoid water marks. For stubborn marks, a mild glass cleaner is fine. Always ensure the fitting is switched off and fully cool before cleaning.
Fabric shades
Dust with a soft brush or vacuum on the lowest setting using an upholstery attachment. Avoid wet cleaning — fabric shades can stain, warp, or shrink. Spot-clean small marks only with a barely-damp microfibre cloth.
Ceramic
Glazed ceramic can be wiped with a soft, damp cloth and a mild soap solution. Unglazed or matte ceramic should be kept dry and dusted only. Always ensure the fitting is switched off and cool first.
Before you clean
Switch off at the wall and let the fitting cool fully. Never spray cleaner directly onto a fitting — apply to a cloth first. If your fitting has visible wiring, electrical components, or LED drivers exposed, keep moisture well away from these areas.

Does the Halo pendant require an electrician to install?
Yes, the Halo is a hardwired ceiling pendant and must be installed by a qualified electrician in compliance with UK Building Regulations Part P. The fitting connects directly to your mains ceiling supply, typically via a BESA box or ceiling rose. Installation is rated as easy for professionals, and all necessary mounting hardware is included.
What type of bulbs does this pendant take and are they dimmable?
The Halo uses three E14 SES (Small Edison Screw) bulbs with a maximum wattage of 6W each. The fitting is fully dimmable when paired with dimmable E14 LED bulbs and a compatible trailing-edge dimmer switch on your lighting circuit. We recommend warm white LED bulbs (2700K) to complement the antique brass finish and create a soft, ambient glow through the ribbed glass.
What are the dimensions and drop length of this pendant?
The Halo measures 450mm in diameter and has a total drop of 1500mm from ceiling to base, making it suitable for rooms with high ceilings or statement installations over dining tables and kitchen islands. The drum shade itself is 450mm wide, providing substantial presence without overwhelming medium to large spaces. At 3.8kg, it requires secure fixing to a ceiling joist or rated mounting point.
Can this pendant be used in a bathroom?
No, the Halo is rated IP20 and is only suitable for dry indoor locations. It does not meet the IP rating requirements (minimum IPX4) for bathroom zones and should not be installed in bathrooms, shower rooms, or any area exposed to moisture or steam.
How much light does this pendant produce?
Light output depends entirely on your choice of E14 bulbs, as the pendant accommodates up to three 6W LED bulbs. A typical 6W LED produces around 470 lumens, giving you approximately 1400 lumens total when all three lampholders are fitted — suitable for ambient or feature lighting over a dining table or in a living room. The vertically ribbed glass diffuses the light into soft, architectural lines rather than providing direct task illumination.
What warranty does the Halo pendant come with?
The Halo is covered by a 2-year manufacturer's warranty against defects in materials and workmanship.
