Product Care Guide
Plaster
Dust with a soft, dry cloth only. Plaster is porous, so avoid all liquid cleaners — they'll stain or mark the surface. Raw plaster fittings can be painted: use a matte emulsion in two thin coats, allowing each to dry fully before powering on. Don't install in bathrooms or other damp areas unless the IP rating allows it.
Brass & metal
Brass develops a natural patina over time, which most people prefer. To keep the current finish, wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth. For a brighter look, use a brass-specific polish sparingly. Never use lemon, vinegar, or abrasive cleaners — these damage lacquered brass irreversibly. Polished chrome and nickel finishes can be wiped with a damp microfibre cloth.
Glass
Wipe with a soft, damp cloth and dry thoroughly to avoid water marks. For stubborn marks, a mild glass cleaner is fine. Always ensure the fitting is switched off and fully cool before cleaning.
Fabric shades
Dust with a soft brush or vacuum on the lowest setting using an upholstery attachment. Avoid wet cleaning — fabric shades can stain, warp, or shrink. Spot-clean small marks only with a barely-damp microfibre cloth.
Ceramic
Glazed ceramic can be wiped with a soft, damp cloth and a mild soap solution. Unglazed or matte ceramic should be kept dry and dusted only. Always ensure the fitting is switched off and cool first.
Before you clean
Switch off at the wall and let the fitting cool fully. Never spray cleaner directly onto a fitting — apply to a cloth first. If your fitting has visible wiring, electrical components, or LED drivers exposed, keep moisture well away from these areas.

Yes, this is a hardwired ceiling pendant and must be installed by a qualified electrician in compliance with UK Building Regulations Part P. The fitting terminates in a ceiling rose that connects directly to your mains supply, so it's not a simple plug-in job. Most electricians will find it straightforward as it includes all necessary mounting hardware.
Is the Halo Petite pendant dimmable and what bulbs does it take?
Yes, the Halo Petite is dimmable when paired with a dimmable E27 ES bulb and a compatible dimmer switch on your lighting circuit. It takes standard Edison Screw (E27) bulbs up to 10W maximum, so you'll want an LED bulb in the 6-10W range for best results. The clear ribbed glass works beautifully with warm white filament-style LEDs if you want that vintage look.
What are the dimensions and drop length of this pendant?
The Halo Petite measures 200mm in diameter with a total drop of 1630mm from ceiling to the base of the shade. That's quite a long suspension cable, making it ideal for high ceilings, stairwells, or above kitchen islands. The cable can usually be shortened during installation if needed, though you should confirm this with your electrician.
Can I use the Halo Petite pendant in a bathroom?
No, this pendant has an IP20 rating, meaning it's not protected against moisture and is only suitable for dry indoor areas. For bathroom use you'd need a minimum of IP44 (typically IP65 for zones 1 and 2), so the Halo Petite should be kept to kitchens, living rooms, hallways, and bedrooms only.
What warranty does the antique brass pendant come with?
The Halo Petite comes with a 2-year manufacturer's warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship. This covers the brass metalwork, glass shade, and electrical components, but excludes bulbs and damage from improper installation or use outside the -10°C to 40°C operating temperature range.
How much light output should I expect from this pendant?
Light output depends entirely on the E27 bulb you choose, as the Halo Petite takes one bulb up to 10W maximum. A typical 8-10W LED E27 bulb produces 800-1000 lumens, which is ample for task lighting over a kitchen island or general illumination in a 10-12 square metre room. The ribbed glass diffuses the light into soft vertical patterns rather than a harsh downward beam.
