Product Care Guide
Plaster
Dust with a soft, dry cloth only. Plaster is porous, so avoid all liquid cleaners — they'll stain or mark the surface. Raw plaster fittings can be painted: use a matte emulsion in two thin coats, allowing each to dry fully before powering on. Don't install in bathrooms or other damp areas unless the IP rating allows it.
Brass & metal
Brass develops a natural patina over time, which most people prefer. To keep the current finish, wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth. For a brighter look, use a brass-specific polish sparingly. Never use lemon, vinegar, or abrasive cleaners — these damage lacquered brass irreversibly. Polished chrome and nickel finishes can be wiped with a damp microfibre cloth.
Glass
Wipe with a soft, damp cloth and dry thoroughly to avoid water marks. For stubborn marks, a mild glass cleaner is fine. Always ensure the fitting is switched off and fully cool before cleaning.
Fabric shades
Dust with a soft brush or vacuum on the lowest setting using an upholstery attachment. Avoid wet cleaning — fabric shades can stain, warp, or shrink. Spot-clean small marks only with a barely-damp microfibre cloth.
Ceramic
Glazed ceramic can be wiped with a soft, damp cloth and a mild soap solution. Unglazed or matte ceramic should be kept dry and dusted only. Always ensure the fitting is switched off and cool first.
Before you clean
Switch off at the wall and let the fitting cool fully. Never spray cleaner directly onto a fitting — apply to a cloth first. If your fitting has visible wiring, electrical components, or LED drivers exposed, keep moisture well away from these areas.

Questions
Is the Lumara Spiral Filament bulb dimmable?
The product specifications do not indicate dimming capability, so you should assume this E27 bulb is non-dimmable unless stated otherwise on the packaging. Using a non-dimmable LED bulb with a dimmer switch can cause flickering, buzzing, or premature failure. If you require dimming functionality, check with the retailer whether a dimmable version is available or consider a different bulb.
Can I use this 1800K amber bulb in a bathroom or wet room?
No, this bulb has an IP20 rating, which means it's only protected against solid objects larger than 12.5mm and has no water resistance. IP20-rated bulbs are suitable only for dry indoor locations. For bathroom zones 1 or 2, you would need a minimum of IP44 or IP65 rated lighting.
What kind of light colour does 1800K produce and where is it best used?
A 1800K colour temperature produces an extremely warm, amber-orange glow similar to candlelight or early Edison bulbs. This creates a cosy, intimate atmosphere best suited for living rooms, bedrooms, restaurants, or feature lighting where ambience is prioritised over task lighting. It's significantly warmer than standard warm white (2700K-3000K) and provides minimal brightness for reading or detailed work.
Will this E27 bulb fit my existing lamp holder?
This bulb uses an E27 Edison Screw (ES) cap, which is the standard large screw fitting used in most UK table lamps, floor lamps, and pendant light holders. Simply ensure your lamp holder is marked E27 or ES—it will not fit the smaller E14 (SES) screw fitting or bayonet cap (B22/BC) holders common in older British ceiling lights.
How bright is a 4W LED spiral filament bulb?
At 4 watts, this decorative LED bulb produces approximately 200-350 lumens, which is considerably dimmer than a standard 40W incandescent (around 400-470 lumens). The spiral filament design and 1800K amber glow prioritise atmosphere over brightness, making it ideal for decorative fixtures where the bulb itself is visible, but not for task lighting or primary room illumination.
What is the lifespan of this bulb and is it covered by warranty?
LED filament bulbs typically offer 15,000-25,000 hours of use, though the exact lifespan isn't specified in the provided details. Warranty coverage varies by retailer, but most LED bulbs in the UK come with a 1-2 year manufacturer warranty against defects. Check your proof of purchase and the retailer's returns policy for specific warranty terms on this product.
The Enso Standard
Anyone can sell you a light.
We’d rather sell you the right one.
Lighting, considered.
Chosen, not stocked
For every piece here, we passed on hundreds. If a fitting doesn’t earn its place, it isn’t here.
Curation is mostly the art of saying no.
Held to one standard
Copenhagen brass or precision-built LED — every piece is vetted the same way: finish, build, light quality, safety. If it doesn’t pass, it doesn’t stay.
The standard doesn’t care what a light costs.
Nothing left to guess
Every dimension, bulb, IP rating and install note published before you buy — you and your electrician know exactly what arrives.
The spec sheet is the love letter.
Backed, properly
Two-year warranty as standard, 30-day returns. If something isn’t right, we’d rather know — and put it right.
A fitting should outlast the fashion that chose it.
