Product Care Guide
Plaster
Dust with a soft, dry cloth only. Plaster is porous, so avoid all liquid cleaners — they'll stain or mark the surface. Raw plaster fittings can be painted: use a matte emulsion in two thin coats, allowing each to dry fully before powering on. Don't install in bathrooms or other damp areas unless the IP rating allows it.
Brass & metal
Brass develops a natural patina over time, which most people prefer. To keep the current finish, wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth. For a brighter look, use a brass-specific polish sparingly. Never use lemon, vinegar, or abrasive cleaners — these damage lacquered brass irreversibly. Polished chrome and nickel finishes can be wiped with a damp microfibre cloth.
Glass
Wipe with a soft, damp cloth and dry thoroughly to avoid water marks. For stubborn marks, a mild glass cleaner is fine. Always ensure the fitting is switched off and fully cool before cleaning.
Fabric shades
Dust with a soft brush or vacuum on the lowest setting using an upholstery attachment. Avoid wet cleaning — fabric shades can stain, warp, or shrink. Spot-clean small marks only with a barely-damp microfibre cloth.
Ceramic
Glazed ceramic can be wiped with a soft, damp cloth and a mild soap solution. Unglazed or matte ceramic should be kept dry and dusted only. Always ensure the fitting is switched off and cool first.
Before you clean
Switch off at the wall and let the fitting cool fully. Never spray cleaner directly onto a fitting — apply to a cloth first. If your fitting has visible wiring, electrical components, or LED drivers exposed, keep moisture well away from these areas.

What size bulb does this pendant take and is one included?
The Rosco uses a single E27 ES (Edison Screw) bulb, which is not included in the box. You'll need to purchase an E27 bulb separately—LED bulbs are recommended for energy efficiency and cooler running temperatures given the rattan shade. The pendant is dimmable, so pair it with a dimmable E27 bulb and compatible dimmer switch if you want adjustable brightness.
Can I use this 58cm rattan pendant on a dimmer switch?

What are the exact dimensions and how low will it hang?
The pendant measures 58cm wide, 58cm deep, and 28cm in height for the shade itself. The total drop from your ceiling will depend on the length of cable you leave during installation, which should be determined by your ceiling height and whether it's positioned over a table or in open space. At 2.3kg, it requires secure fixing to a standard ceiling rose or BESA box.
Is this rattan pendant suitable for a bathroom or kitchen?
The Rosco is rated for indoor use only and has no IP rating, so it's not suitable for bathroom zones where moisture protection is required. It can be used in kitchens and dining areas as long as it's kept away from direct water exposure or steam. For best longevity, avoid placing it directly above hobs or in very humid environments where the natural rattan could be affected.
How much light does this pendant give off and is it bright enough for a dining table?
The light output depends entirely on the E27 bulb you fit—the rattan shade will diffuse and soften the light while casting decorative shadows.
