Product Care Guide
Plaster
Dust with a soft, dry cloth only. Plaster is porous, so avoid all liquid cleaners — they'll stain or mark the surface. Raw plaster fittings can be painted: use a matte emulsion in two thin coats, allowing each to dry fully before powering on. Don't install in bathrooms or other damp areas unless the IP rating allows it.
Brass & metal
Brass develops a natural patina over time, which most people prefer. To keep the current finish, wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth. For a brighter look, use a brass-specific polish sparingly. Never use lemon, vinegar, or abrasive cleaners — these damage lacquered brass irreversibly. Polished chrome and nickel finishes can be wiped with a damp microfibre cloth.
Glass
Wipe with a soft, damp cloth and dry thoroughly to avoid water marks. For stubborn marks, a mild glass cleaner is fine. Always ensure the fitting is switched off and fully cool before cleaning.
Fabric shades
Dust with a soft brush or vacuum on the lowest setting using an upholstery attachment. Avoid wet cleaning — fabric shades can stain, warp, or shrink. Spot-clean small marks only with a barely-damp microfibre cloth.
Ceramic
Glazed ceramic can be wiped with a soft, damp cloth and a mild soap solution. Unglazed or matte ceramic should be kept dry and dusted only. Always ensure the fitting is switched off and cool first.
Before you clean
Switch off at the wall and let the fitting cool fully. Never spray cleaner directly onto a fitting — apply to a cloth first. If your fitting has visible wiring, electrical components, or LED drivers exposed, keep moisture well away from these areas.

Does the Tiber stone table lamp require an electrician to install?
No, the Tiber is a plug-in table lamp that requires no electrical work whatsoever. Simply place it on your table or console, plug it into a standard UK mains socket, and switch it on. There's no hardwiring involved, so Part P Building Regulations don't apply and you can set it up yourself in minutes.
What size bulb does this lamp take and is one included?
The lamp uses a standard E27 screw bulb (also called ES or Edison Screw), which is the most common large bulb fitting in the UK. A bulb is not included in the box, so you'll need to purchase one separately. You can use LED, halogen, or traditional incandescent E27 bulbs up to the maximum wattage specified in the instruction manual.
Can I use a dimmer switch with the Tiber stone table lamp?
Dimming capability depends entirely on the bulb you choose, as the lamp itself is a simple plug-in fitting. If you use a dimmable LED or halogen E27 bulb and plug the lamp into a trailing edge dimmer socket adaptor, you'll be able to dim it. Standard non-dimmable bulbs will not dim and may flicker or fail if used with a dimmer.
How large is this lamp and will it fit on a standard bedside table?
The Tiber measures 540mm wide, 540mm deep, and 720mm tall, making it quite a substantial piece at 72cm high. This large size makes it better suited to console tables, sideboards, or large side tables rather than standard bedside tables, where it may dominate the space. Consider whether you have at least 54cm of clear surface area available.
Is this lamp suitable for use in a bathroom?
No, the Tiber has an IP20 rating, which means it's suitable for dry indoor locations only and offers no protection against moisture. It should not be used in bathrooms or any area where it might be exposed to water or high humidity. For bathroom lighting, you'll need fittings rated IP44 or higher depending on the zone.
What warranty does the Tiber stone table lamp come with?
The lamp is covered by a 2-year manufacturer's warranty from Lusso Vita Decor. This covers manufacturing defects and faults with the lamp base and wiring, though it won't cover damage from misuse, accidental breakage of the ceramic, or issues with separately purchased bulbs.
