It's rated as moderate installation difficulty and needs to be wired into a suitable junction box or existing lighting circuit. The fitting is Class II (double insulated), so no earth connection is required, but professional installation is still mandatory for mains-voltage wall lights.
Can I dim the Faro travertine spotlight and what type of dimmer do I need?
Yes, the Faro is dimmable when fitted with a dimmable GU10 bulb (a dimmable bulb is included). You'll need a trailing edge dimmer switch on your lighting circuit to avoid flickering or buzzing. Standard leading edge dimmers designed for older incandescent bulbs may not work reliably with modern GU10 LEDs, so check your dimmer compatibility or upgrade if necessary.
What size GU10 bulb comes with this spotlight and can I replace it?
The fitting includes one GU10 bulb with a maximum wattage of 12W. You can replace it with any standard GU10 bulb up to 12W, though we recommend a dimmable LED version to maintain dimming functionality. GU10 bulbs are widely available and easy to swap — just twist anticlockwise to remove and clockwise to fit the replacement.
What are the exact dimensions of the Faro travertine wall light?

These compact dimensions make it suitable for hallways, reading nooks, or beside beds without dominating the wall space, whilst the natural stone backplate still provides visual presence.
Can I use this travertine spotlight in a bathroom?
No, the Faro has an IP20 rating, meaning it's not protected against moisture and is only suitable for dry indoor locations. For bathrooms, you'll need a fitting rated at least IP44 (or IP65 for shower zones), so this spotlight is best reserved for hallways, bedrooms, living rooms, or dining areas where moisture isn't a concern.
Is each travertine backplate unique and does the finish vary?
Yes, because the backplate is made from natural travertine stone, each piece will have unique variations in veining, texture, and colour within the dark brown, sand beige, and golden palette. This natural variation is a characteristic feature of genuine stone rather than a defect, ensuring your Faro spotlight is subtly one-of-a-kind.
