01 / The feeling
Architecture in Pure White
A beautiful dome of soft, paintable plaster that casts a warm glow across your ceiling and walls. This round flush-mount creates an inviting ambience in living rooms, bedrooms or hallways, with its gentle diffused light washing upwards and outwards. The clean, minimalist form suits both contemporary and traditional interiors, and because it's finished in paintable white plaster, you can match it perfectly to your décor or leave it beautifully natural.
The Gabriel houses two E27 bulbs for excellent brightness, fully dimmable so you can set the mood just right. At 30cm diameter, it's perfectly proportioned for medium-sized rooms, whilst the low 65mm profile keeps things unobtrusive. Crafted from quality plaster with a frosted glass diffuser, it's surface-mounted for straightforward installation. Rated IP20 for dry indoor spaces.

02 / Find its place
A small footprint.
A lasting impression.
Just 30 cm wide, with a 7 cm drop. Enough presence to anchor a table, small enough to live under.
Try the size before you buy
Mark a 30 cm circle on the floor with removable tape and look up from where you will sit. It hangs 30 cm below the ceiling — hold a tape measure up to check the headroom.
Rated IP20 — dry indoor spaces only, so not for bathrooms or outdoors.

Good to know
A few questions,
before it comes home.
Does the Gabriel ceiling light need to be installed by a qualified electrician?
Yes, as this is a hardwired ceiling light, installation falls under Building Regulations Part P in England and Wales. Unless you're a competent person registered with an electrical self-certification scheme, you'll need a qualified electrician to carry out the installation and certify the work. The fitting connects directly to your mains ceiling supply, typically via a BESA box or ceiling rose.
What type of bulbs does this fitting take and are they included?
The Gabriel uses 2 × E27 Edison Screw bulbs (standard ES fitting), with a maximum of 25W per lampholder. Bulbs are not included, so you'll need to purchase them separately. You can use LED, halogen, or traditional incandescent E27 bulbs up to 25W each, giving you flexibility in brightness and colour temperature.
Is the Gabriel ceiling light dimmable?
Yes, this fitting is dimmable, but you'll need to fit dimmable E27 bulbs and have a compatible dimmer switch installed. Not all LED bulbs dim smoothly, so look for bulbs specifically marked as dimmable. If you're installing a new dimmer, ensure your electrician fits one suitable for the bulb type you're using (LED-compatible dimmers for LED bulbs).
Can I paint this plaster ceiling light, and what's the best way to do it?
Yes, the Gabriel is designed with a paintable white plaster finish that you can decorate to match your ceiling or walls. For best results, use a water-based emulsion or ceiling paint and apply thin, even coats with a brush or small roller. Allow the paint to dry fully before installation, and avoid painting the glass diffuser or internal electrical components.
What are the dimensions and how much clearance do I need?
The Gabriel measures 300mm in diameter and has a height of just 65mm, making it a low-profile flush or surface-mounted fitting suitable for rooms with lower ceilings. At 2kg, it requires secure fixing to a ceiling joist or suitable mounting point. The compact dome shape works well in hallways, bedrooms, or smaller living spaces where headroom is limited.
Is this ceiling light suitable for bathrooms?
No, the Gabriel has an IP20 rating, which means it offers no moisture protection and is only suitable for dry indoor areas. For bathroom use, you'd need a minimum of IP44 (or IP65 for shower zones), so this fitting should be kept to living rooms, bedrooms, hallways, and other spaces away from direct water exposure.
