Product Care Guide
Plaster
Dust with a soft, dry cloth only. Plaster is porous, so avoid all liquid cleaners — they'll stain or mark the surface. Raw plaster fittings can be painted: use a matte emulsion in two thin coats, allowing each to dry fully before powering on. Don't install in bathrooms or other damp areas unless the IP rating allows it.
Brass & metal
Brass develops a natural patina over time, which most people prefer. To keep the current finish, wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth. For a brighter look, use a brass-specific polish sparingly. Never use lemon, vinegar, or abrasive cleaners — these damage lacquered brass irreversibly. Polished chrome and nickel finishes can be wiped with a damp microfibre cloth.
Glass
Wipe with a soft, damp cloth and dry thoroughly to avoid water marks. For stubborn marks, a mild glass cleaner is fine. Always ensure the fitting is switched off and fully cool before cleaning.
Fabric shades
Dust with a soft brush or vacuum on the lowest setting using an upholstery attachment. Avoid wet cleaning — fabric shades can stain, warp, or shrink. Spot-clean small marks only with a barely-damp microfibre cloth.
Ceramic
Glazed ceramic can be wiped with a soft, damp cloth and a mild soap solution. Unglazed or matte ceramic should be kept dry and dusted only. Always ensure the fitting is switched off and cool first.
Before you clean
Switch off at the wall and let the fitting cool fully. Never spray cleaner directly onto a fitting — apply to a cloth first. If your fitting has visible wiring, electrical components, or LED drivers exposed, keep moisture well away from these areas.

Questions
Does the Kiro Ceramic Wall Light need to be installed by a qualified electrician?
Yes, as this is a hardwired wall light, installation falls under Part P of the UK Building Regulations and should be carried out by a qualified electrician or competent person. The fitting will typically connect to a BESA box or standard back plate on your wall. It weighs 700g, so standard mounting onto a solid wall or suitable fixing should be sufficient.
Can this wall light be used with a dimmer switch?
Yes, the Kiro is dimmable, but you'll need to use a dimmable G9 bulb (sold separately) and ensure your dimmer switch is compatible with the bulb type you choose. LED G9 bulbs require LED-compatible dimmer switches, whereas halogen G9 bulbs work with traditional dimmers. Always check the bulb packaging for dimming compatibility.
What type of bulb does the Kiro Small take and is it included?
The Kiro uses a single G9 bulb, which is not included with the fitting. G9 is a small two-pin capsule bulb widely available in LED or halogen variants. Choose your preferred brightness and colour temperature—warm white (2700K-3000K) is typical for ambient wall lighting.
Can I use the Kiro Ceramic Wall Light in a bathroom?
No, this fitting is rated IP20, which means it's suitable for dry indoor areas only and not protected against moisture. For bathroom use, you'd need a minimum of IP44 (or IP65 for shower zones). The Kiro is ideal for hallways, living rooms, bedrooms, and dining areas.
What are the dimensions of the Small Kiro wall light?
The Small Kiro measures 205mm wide, 165mm tall, and projects 120mm from the wall. This compact size makes it well-suited to narrower hallways, alcoves, or flanking a bed or mirror without dominating the space.
Does the Kiro wall light produce direct light or does it just wash the wall?
The Kiro's cone-shaped ceramic shade directs light both upwards and downwards, creating a soft wash on the wall rather than throwing light directly into the room. This produces a glare-free, ambient glow ideal for accent lighting or creating atmosphere, but it's not designed as a task light or primary light source.

Lighting, considered.
Chosen, not stocked
For every piece here, we passed on hundreds. If a fitting doesn’t earn its place, it isn’t here.
Curation is mostly the art of saying no.
From Europe’s quiet workshops
Copenhagen brass, Milanese plaster, hand-woven French rattan — small independent design houses, named by place, plainly.
Designed in Europe. Named honestly.

Every dimension, bulb, IP rating and install note published before you buy — you and your electrician know exactly what arrives.
The spec sheet is the love letter.
