Product Care Guide
Plaster
Dust with a soft, dry cloth only. Plaster is porous, so avoid all liquid cleaners — they'll stain or mark the surface. Raw plaster fittings can be painted: use a matte emulsion in two thin coats, allowing each to dry fully before powering on. Don't install in bathrooms or other damp areas unless the IP rating allows it.
Brass & metal
Brass develops a natural patina over time, which most people prefer. To keep the current finish, wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth. For a brighter look, use a brass-specific polish sparingly. Never use lemon, vinegar, or abrasive cleaners — these damage lacquered brass irreversibly. Polished chrome and nickel finishes can be wiped with a damp microfibre cloth.
Glass
Wipe with a soft, damp cloth and dry thoroughly to avoid water marks. For stubborn marks, a mild glass cleaner is fine. Always ensure the fitting is switched off and fully cool before cleaning.
Fabric shades
Dust with a soft brush or vacuum on the lowest setting using an upholstery attachment. Avoid wet cleaning — fabric shades can stain, warp, or shrink. Spot-clean small marks only with a barely-damp microfibre cloth.
Ceramic
Glazed ceramic can be wiped with a soft, damp cloth and a mild soap solution. Unglazed or matte ceramic should be kept dry and dusted only. Always ensure the fitting is switched off and cool first.
Before you clean
Switch off at the wall and let the fitting cool fully. Never spray cleaner directly onto a fitting — apply to a cloth first. If your fitting has visible wiring, electrical components, or LED drivers exposed, keep moisture well away from these areas.

Questions
What dimmer switch do I need for this GU10 LED bulb?
The Nimbus requires a leading edge (TRIAC) dimmer switch to work properly. Standard rotary or slider dimmers designed for incandescent bulbs will usually work, but avoid trailing edge dimmers as they're not compatible with this bulb. If you experience flickering or limited dimming range, check your dimmer is rated for LED loads and supports a minimum wattage lower than 3.7W.
How bright is 350 lumens compared to a halogen GU10?
This 3.7W LED produces 350 lumens, which is equivalent to a traditional 50W halogen GU10 bulb. It's ideal for general spotlight use in kitchens, living rooms, or downlighters where you need focused task lighting. For larger rooms or higher ceilings, you may want multiple bulbs to achieve adequate coverage.
Is 4000K neutral white too harsh for a living room?
4000K sits between warm and cool white, giving a clean, crisp light that's excellent for task-focused areas like kitchens, bathrooms, and home offices. It's generally considered too clinical for relaxing spaces like living rooms or bedrooms, where 2700K–3000K warm white creates a more inviting atmosphere. The high CRI90 rating does ensure colours look natural rather than washed out.
Will this GU10 bulb fit my existing spotlight fittings?
Yes, this uses the standard GU10 bayonet fitting with two pins that twist and lock into place, which is the most common spotlight socket in UK homes. At 54mm tall, it's a compact size that fits most recessed downlighters and surface-mounted GU10 spotlight fittings without protruding. Simply twist the old bulb anticlockwise to remove, then push the new one in and twist clockwise to secure.
Can I use this LED bulb in a bathroom or outdoor fitting?
This is an indoor-rated bulb with no IP rating, so it's not suitable for bathroom zones (near showers or baths) or outdoor use where it would be exposed to moisture. It's perfectly fine for general bathroom ceiling lights outside the designated zones, or in any dry indoor location. For wet areas, you'll need an IP-rated GU10 bulb designed for bathroom or exterior use.
What warranty does this GU10 LED come with?
The Nimbus includes a 5-year manufacturer's warranty covering manufacturing defects and premature failure. This is considerably longer than the typical 1–2 year warranty on budget LED bulbs, reflecting the quality of components used. Keep your proof of purchase, and if the bulb fails within the warranty period under normal use, you'll be covered for a replacement.
The Enso Standard
Anyone can sell you a light.
We’d rather sell you the right one.
Lighting, considered.
Chosen, not stocked
For every piece here, we passed on hundreds. If a fitting doesn’t earn its place, it isn’t here.
Curation is mostly the art of saying no.
Held to one standard
Copenhagen brass or precision-built LED — every piece is vetted the same way: finish, build, light quality, safety. If it doesn’t pass, it doesn’t stay.
The standard doesn’t care what a light costs.
Nothing left to guess
Every dimension, bulb, IP rating and install note published before you buy — you and your electrician know exactly what arrives.
The spec sheet is the love letter.
Backed, properly
Two-year warranty as standard, 30-day returns. If something isn’t right, we’d rather know — and put it right.
A fitting should outlast the fashion that chose it.
