Product Care Guide
Plaster
Dust with a soft, dry cloth only. Plaster is porous, so avoid all liquid cleaners — they'll stain or mark the surface. Raw plaster fittings can be painted: use a matte emulsion in two thin coats, allowing each to dry fully before powering on. Don't install in bathrooms or other damp areas unless the IP rating allows it.
Brass & metal
Brass develops a natural patina over time, which most people prefer. To keep the current finish, wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth. For a brighter look, use a brass-specific polish sparingly. Never use lemon, vinegar, or abrasive cleaners — these damage lacquered brass irreversibly. Polished chrome and nickel finishes can be wiped with a damp microfibre cloth.
Glass
Wipe with a soft, damp cloth and dry thoroughly to avoid water marks. For stubborn marks, a mild glass cleaner is fine. Always ensure the fitting is switched off and fully cool before cleaning.
Fabric shades
Dust with a soft brush or vacuum on the lowest setting using an upholstery attachment. Avoid wet cleaning — fabric shades can stain, warp, or shrink. Spot-clean small marks only with a barely-damp microfibre cloth.
Ceramic
Glazed ceramic can be wiped with a soft, damp cloth and a mild soap solution. Unglazed or matte ceramic should be kept dry and dusted only. Always ensure the fitting is switched off and cool first.
Before you clean
Switch off at the wall and let the fitting cool fully. Never spray cleaner directly onto a fitting — apply to a cloth first. If your fitting has visible wiring, electrical components, or LED drivers exposed, keep moisture well away from these areas.

Questions
Does this bollard light need to be installed by a qualified electrician?
Yes, as this is a mains-voltage Class I outdoor fitting, installation must comply with Part P of the Building Regulations. Unless you are a qualified electrician, you'll need to hire a registered sparky to connect it safely to your external lighting circuit and ensure proper earthing. The Torino includes a ground mounting plate and fixings, but the mains electrical connection should always be done by a professional.
Is IP65 sufficient for a bollard light exposed to rain and garden sprinklers?
Yes, the IP65 rating means this bollard is fully protected against dust ingress and low-pressure water jets from any direction. It will withstand heavy rain, garden hose splashes, and typical UK weather conditions without issue. The aluminium and glass construction is designed specifically for year-round outdoor exposure in driveways and pathways.
What type of GU10 bulb should I use and is it dimmable?
This fitting accepts any standard GU10 bulb up to 15 watts maximum, so you can choose LED, halogen, or your preferred colour temperature. The bollard itself is not specified as dimmable, so dimming capability will depend entirely on whether you install a dimmable GU10 bulb and have a compatible dimmer switch on your lighting circuit. Most modern LED GU10s are available in warm white (2700K-3000K) which works beautifully for pathway lighting.
How tall is this bollard and will it provide enough light for a pathway?
The Torino stands 500mm (50cm) tall, which is an ideal height for pathway and driveway border lighting without causing glare at eye level. At this height with a GU10 bulb, it creates ambient pools of light at ground level rather than broad illumination, so you'll likely want to space multiple bollards 2-3 metres apart along your path for consistent guiding light. The recessed design prevents light pollution whilst providing safe wayfinding.
What's included in the box and do I need to purchase bulbs separately?
The box includes the LED bollard post light, ground mounting plate, four fixing screws, four wall plugs, a cable connector, and an instruction manual. The GU10 bulb is not included, so you'll need to purchase this separately before installation. This allows you to choose your preferred brightness and colour temperature to suit your garden scheme.
Can I install this bollard light on a patio or does it need to go in soil?
You can install it on any solid surface including patios, decking, concrete, or paving slabs. The included ground mounting plate is designed to be screwed down onto hard surfaces using the supplied fixings, so there's no need to sink it into soil. Just ensure the base is mounted to a level, stable surface and that you can route the mains cable safely to the mounting location.
The Enso Standard
Anyone can sell you a light.
We’d rather sell you the right one.
Lighting, considered.
Chosen, not stocked
For every piece here, we passed on hundreds. If a fitting doesn’t earn its place, it isn’t here.
Curation is mostly the art of saying no.
Held to one standard
Copenhagen brass or precision-built LED — every piece is vetted the same way: finish, build, light quality, safety. If it doesn’t pass, it doesn’t stay.
The standard doesn’t care what a light costs.
Nothing left to guess
Every dimension, bulb, IP rating and install note published before you buy — you and your electrician know exactly what arrives.
The spec sheet is the love letter.
Backed, properly
Two-year warranty as standard, 30-day returns. If something isn’t right, we’d rather know — and put it right.
A fitting should outlast the fashion that chose it.
