Product Care Guide

Plaster

Dust with a soft, dry cloth only. Plaster is porous, so avoid all liquid cleaners — they'll stain or mark the surface. Raw plaster fittings can be painted: use a matte emulsion in two thin coats, allowing each to dry fully before powering on. Don't install in bathrooms or other damp areas unless the IP rating allows it.

Brass & metal

Brass develops a natural patina over time, which most people prefer. To keep the current finish, wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth. For a brighter look, use a brass-specific polish sparingly. Never use lemon, vinegar, or abrasive cleaners — these damage lacquered brass irreversibly. Polished chrome and nickel finishes can be wiped with a damp microfibre cloth.

Glass

Wipe with a soft, damp cloth and dry thoroughly to avoid water marks. For stubborn marks, a mild glass cleaner is fine. Always ensure the fitting is switched off and fully cool before cleaning.

Fabric shades

Dust with a soft brush or vacuum on the lowest setting using an upholstery attachment. Avoid wet cleaning — fabric shades can stain, warp, or shrink. Spot-clean small marks only with a barely-damp microfibre cloth.

Ceramic

Glazed ceramic can be wiped with a soft, damp cloth and a mild soap solution. Unglazed or matte ceramic should be kept dry and dusted only. Always ensure the fitting is switched off and cool first.

Before you clean

Switch off at the wall and let the fitting cool fully. Never spray cleaner directly onto a fitting — apply to a cloth first. If your fitting has visible wiring, electrical components, or LED drivers exposed, keep moisture well away from these areas.

One Confident Horizontal Line

The Halo is a horizontal anchor. A long 900mm antique brass plate bar suspended on twin chains, holding four E14 candle bulbs in a single confident line behind a panel of vertically ribbed clear glass. Designed for surfaces where length matters — kitchen islands, long dining tables, hotel bars, banquet seating — where a single drum or pendant would feel undersized. The horizontal proportions make a quiet statement: one strong line of light rather than competing focal points.

The vertical ribbing in the glass softens each of the four bulbs into stripes of warm diffused light, layering the surface below with even ambient illumination rather than four spotlit pools. The 350–1780mm fully adjustable chains handle low farmhouse beams and double-height ceilings equally well. The antique brass finish ages beautifully and sits comfortably alongside dark woods, painted plaster, brushed linen and grounded earthy palettes. Pair with warm-white E14 LED candle bulbs (sold separately) for the softest, most resolved effect.

Questions

Does the Halo 4-light pendant require an electrician to install?

Yes, as a hardwired ceiling pendant, the Halo must be installed by a qualified electrician in compliance with UK Building Regulations Part P. The fitting includes all necessary mounting hardware and suspension chains, but connection to your mains supply requires certification. Most electricians will complete installation in under an hour if a suitable ceiling rose or BESA box is already in place.

Is the Halo pendant dimmable and what bulbs does it need?

Yes, the Halo is dimmable when fitted with dimmable E14 SES (small Edison screw) candle bulbs and connected to a compatible dimmer switch. It takes four E14 bulbs with a maximum wattage of 6W each, so LED candle bulbs are ideal. You'll need to ensure both the bulbs and your dimmer switch are designed to work together for flicker-free dimming.

What are the exact dimensions of the Halo linear pendant?

The Halo measures 900mm wide, 200mm deep, and has a total drop of 1780mm from ceiling to the base of the fitting. This makes it particularly well-suited to kitchen islands or dining tables around 1.8–2.4 metres long. At 5.8kg, it requires a secure ceiling fixing capable of supporting its weight.

Can this pendant be used in a bathroom?

No, the Halo has an IP20 rating, which means it offers no protection against moisture and is suitable for indoor dry locations only. For bathroom use, you would need a fitting rated IP44 or higher depending on the zone. The Halo is ideal for kitchens, dining rooms, and living spaces away from direct water exposure.

How much light does the Halo pendant produce?

Light output depends entirely on the bulbs you choose, as the Halo takes four E14 bulbs up to 6W each. With four 6W LED candle bulbs at around 470 lumens each, you'd achieve approximately 1,880 lumens total—enough for ambient lighting over a dining table or kitchen island. The clear ribbed glass diffuses light softly without blocking much output.

What warranty does the Halo pendant come with?

The Halo is covered by a 2-year manufacturer warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. This covers the fitting itself, including the antique brass metalwork and ribbed glass panel, but does not include bulbs or damage caused by incorrect installation. Proof of purchase is required for any warranty claims.

The Enso Standard

Anyone can sell you a light.
We’d rather sell you the right one.

Lighting, considered.

01

Chosen, not stocked

For every piece here, we passed on hundreds. If a fitting doesn’t earn its place, it isn’t here.

Curation is mostly the art of saying no.

02

Held to one standard

Copenhagen brass or precision-built LED — every piece is vetted the same way: finish, build, light quality, safety. If it doesn’t pass, it doesn’t stay.

The standard doesn’t care what a light costs.

03

Nothing left to guess

Every dimension, bulb, IP rating and install note published before you buy — you and your electrician know exactly what arrives.

The spec sheet is the love letter.

04

Backed, properly

Two-year warranty as standard, 30-day returns. If something isn’t right, we’d rather know — and put it right.

A fitting should outlast the fashion that chose it.
