Product Care Guide
Plaster
Dust with a soft, dry cloth only. Plaster is porous, so avoid all liquid cleaners — they'll stain or mark the surface. Raw plaster fittings can be painted: use a matte emulsion in two thin coats, allowing each to dry fully before powering on. Don't install in bathrooms or other damp areas unless the IP rating allows it.
Brass & metal
Brass develops a natural patina over time, which most people prefer. To keep the current finish, wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth. For a brighter look, use a brass-specific polish sparingly. Never use lemon, vinegar, or abrasive cleaners — these damage lacquered brass irreversibly. Polished chrome and nickel finishes can be wiped with a damp microfibre cloth.
Glass
Wipe with a soft, damp cloth and dry thoroughly to avoid water marks. For stubborn marks, a mild glass cleaner is fine. Always ensure the fitting is switched off and fully cool before cleaning.
Fabric shades
Dust with a soft brush or vacuum on the lowest setting using an upholstery attachment. Avoid wet cleaning — fabric shades can stain, warp, or shrink. Spot-clean small marks only with a barely-damp microfibre cloth.
Ceramic
Glazed ceramic can be wiped with a soft, damp cloth and a mild soap solution. Unglazed or matte ceramic should be kept dry and dusted only. Always ensure the fitting is switched off and cool first.
Before you clean
Switch off at the wall and let the fitting cool fully. Never spray cleaner directly onto a fitting — apply to a cloth first. If your fitting has visible wiring, electrical components, or LED drivers exposed, keep moisture well away from these areas.

Is the Isola LED bathroom wall light suitable for use in bathroom zones?
Yes, with an IP44 rating, the Isola is protected against water splashes and is suitable for bathroom zones 2 and 3 (outside the shower enclosure and at least 0.6m from taps or showerheads). It's not rated for zones 0 or 1, which require IP65 or higher. IP44 makes it ideal for general bathroom wall lighting, such as above a mirror or on a side wall away from direct water contact.
Can I replace the LED bulb in the Isola wall light when it fails?
No, the Isola uses an integrated LED module, meaning the LED is permanently built into the fitting and cannot be replaced like a traditional bulb. Integrated LEDs typically last 25,000–50,000 hours (roughly 15–30 years under normal domestic use), so replacement is rarely needed during the product's lifetime. If the LED does fail within the 2-year warranty period, the entire fitting would be covered under warranty.
Is this wall light dimmable, and what type of dimmer do I need?
Yes, the Isola is dimmable and requires a trailing edge (also called electronic or TRIAC) dimmer switch. Trailing edge dimmers are designed for LED loads and prevent flickering or buzzing. Make sure your electrician fits a dimmer rated for low-wattage LEDs; the Isola draws just 12W, so a standard 400W dimmer will work but a specialist LED dimmer (often 5–150W) may give smoother performance.
Do I need an electrician to install the Isola bathroom wall light?
Yes, as this is a hardwired fitting, installation must comply with UK Building Regulations Part P, which requires electrical work in bathrooms to be carried out or certified by a qualified electrician. The Isola is classified as an easy install and mounts to plasterboard, tiled walls, or masonry, but the mains wiring connection must be handled by a competent person.
How much light does the Isola produce, and is it bright enough for a bathroom?
The Isola emits 740 lumens at 12W, which is roughly equivalent to a traditional 60W incandescent bulb. This provides gentle, ambient lighting ideal for creating a soft glow above a mirror or along a vanity wall, though it may not be sufficient as the sole light source in a large bathroom. The 2700K warm white colour temperature is flattering for skin tones and creates a relaxed, inviting atmosphere.
What are the dimensions of the Isola wall light, and will it fit above a standard bathroom mirror?
The Isola measures 608mm wide by 90mm high, making it a slender, linear bar well-suited to sitting above standard bathroom mirrors (most are 600–900mm wide). Its narrow 90mm height keeps it visually light and unobtrusive. The travertine and gold finish works particularly well in modern or natural-material bathrooms, complementing stone, marble, or timber vanities.
