01 / The feeling
Where Elegance Meets Steam
Fluted glass meets warm antique brass in this dome-shaped ceiling light that transforms bathrooms into spa-like sanctuaries. The ribbed texture diffuses light beautifully, casting a soft, even glow that flatters without harshness — perfect for those early morning routines or long evening soaks. Its vintage-inspired silhouette adds character to contemporary and traditional spaces alike, whilst the white glass keeps things fresh and airy.
The Rivoli is designed specifically for bathroom environments, where steam and splashes are part of daily life. Hardwired for reliability and fitted with a dimmable 11W LED bulb, you can adjust the mood from energising brightness to calming ambience. The quality brass and glass construction ensures lasting beauty, whilst the 250mm width provides substantial coverage without overwhelming smaller spaces. CE marked for complete peace of mind.

A few questions,
before it comes home.
Is the Rivoli ribbed ceiling light suitable for bathroom zones and what IP rating does it have?
Yes, this fitting is rated IP44 and certified for use in Bathroom Zone 2. This means it's protected against water splashes from any direction, making it suitable for areas above the bath or shower (outside the direct spray zone), as well as anywhere else in the bathroom. It's an excellent choice for general bathroom lighting where moisture resistance is essential.
What type of bulb does this ceiling light use and is one included?
The Rivoli uses a standard E27 Edison Screw (ES) bulb, which is the most common large screw fitting in the UK. A bulb is not included with the fitting, so you'll need to purchase one separately. Because the fitting is dimmable, you can use either a standard E27 LED bulb or a dimmable E27 LED if you're installing it with a dimmer switch.
Can this ceiling light be dimmed?
Yes, this fitting is fully dimmable, but you'll need to ensure you use a dimmable E27 LED bulb and have a compatible LED dimmer switch installed. The ribbed glass shade diffuses light beautifully at any brightness level, making it ideal for creating ambient mood lighting in bathrooms or bedrooms.
Do I need an electrician to install this hardwired ceiling light?
Yes, as this is a hardwired ceiling fitting, installation must be carried out by a qualified electrician in compliance with UK Building Regulations Part P. The electrician will connect it directly to your mains electrical supply, typically mounting it to a standard BESA box or ceiling rose. This is not a plug-in fixture and cannot be self-installed unless you're a certified electrician.
What are the dimensions of the Rivoli ceiling light and how much space does it need?
The fitting measures 250mm in diameter and 260mm in height (drop), making it a medium-sized flush or semi-flush ceiling light. With a depth of 250mm from the ceiling, it's compact enough for bathrooms with standard ceiling heights while still providing a decorative presence. It works well in bathrooms, hallways, or smaller bedrooms where a low-profile fitting is needed.
What warranty does this antique brass ceiling light come with?
This fitting is covered by a 2-year manufacturer's warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. The warranty covers the brass and glass components of the fixture itself, though bulbs are considered consumable items and are not covered. Always retain your proof of purchase and ensure the fitting is installed by a qualified electrician to maintain warranty validity.
