Product Care Guide
Plaster
Dust with a soft, dry cloth only. Plaster is porous, so avoid all liquid cleaners — they'll stain or mark the surface. Raw plaster fittings can be painted: use a matte emulsion in two thin coats, allowing each to dry fully before powering on. Don't install in bathrooms or other damp areas unless the IP rating allows it.
Brass & metal
Brass develops a natural patina over time, which most people prefer. To keep the current finish, wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth. For a brighter look, use a brass-specific polish sparingly. Never use lemon, vinegar, or abrasive cleaners — these damage lacquered brass irreversibly. Polished chrome and nickel finishes can be wiped with a damp microfibre cloth.
Glass
Wipe with a soft, damp cloth and dry thoroughly to avoid water marks. For stubborn marks, a mild glass cleaner is fine. Always ensure the fitting is switched off and fully cool before cleaning.
Fabric shades
Dust with a soft brush or vacuum on the lowest setting using an upholstery attachment. Avoid wet cleaning — fabric shades can stain, warp, or shrink. Spot-clean small marks only with a barely-damp microfibre cloth.
Ceramic
Glazed ceramic can be wiped with a soft, damp cloth and a mild soap solution. Unglazed or matte ceramic should be kept dry and dusted only. Always ensure the fitting is switched off and cool first.
Before you clean
Switch off at the wall and let the fitting cool fully. Never spray cleaner directly onto a fitting — apply to a cloth first. If your fitting has visible wiring, electrical components, or LED drivers exposed, keep moisture well away from these areas.

Up & Down Wall Wash
The cone-shaped ceramic shade directs soft, glare-free light upwards and downwards, creating gentle washes of illumination above and below the fitting. This balanced bi-directional beam adds subtle accent lighting whilst highlighting the wall texture and the fitting itself as a decorative feature.

Questions
Does the Kiro ceramic wall light need to be installed by an electrician?
Yes, the Kiro is hardwired and must be connected directly to your mains supply, so installation falls under Part P of the Building Regulations. Unless you're a qualified electrician or competent person, you'll need to hire a registered sparks to fit it safely and certify the work. Most fittings mount to a standard BESA box or backplate.
Can I use a dimmer switch with the Kiro wall light?
Yes, the Kiro is dimmable, but you'll need to fit a compatible G9 LED bulb and ensure your dimmer switch is rated for LED loads. Not all G9 LEDs dim smoothly, so look for bulbs explicitly marked as dimmable and check they're compatible with your dimmer type (leading-edge or trailing-edge). The fitting itself supports dimming when paired with the right components.
What type of bulb does the Kiro ceramic wall light take?
The Kiro uses a single G9 capsule bulb (the small bi-pin type, roughly the size of your thumb). G9s are widely available in LED form at most hardware shops and online. Choose your preferred colour temperature — warm white (2700K) suits the soft Shell White finish, though daylight (4000K+) works for task lighting.
How big is the small Kiro wall light?
The small Kiro measures 205mm wide, 165mm tall, and projects 120mm from the wall. At 700g it's fairly lightweight despite the ceramic construction, so it suits most wall types with appropriate fixings. The cone shade is compact enough for hallways, bedrooms, or flanking a bathroom mirror without overwhelming smaller spaces.
Is the Kiro wall light suitable for bathrooms?
The Kiro is rated IP20, so it's only suitable for zones outside bathroom zones 1 and 2 — typically 60cm or more away from the bath or shower enclosure. It's fine for general bathroom lighting well away from direct water spray, or in a cloakroom with no shower or tub. For in-zone use you'd need IP44 or higher.
Does the Kiro wall light cast light upwards and downwards?
Yes, the cone-shaped ceramic shade directs light both up and down the wall, creating a soft wash rather than projecting a beam into the room. This makes it ideal for ambient lighting in hallways, bedrooms, or living spaces where you want glare-free background light. The effect is subtle and architectural rather than task-focused.
The Enso Standard
Anyone can sell you a light.
We’d rather sell you the right one.
Lighting, considered.
Chosen, not stocked
For every piece here, we passed on hundreds. If a fitting doesn’t earn its place, it isn’t here.
Curation is mostly the art of saying no.
From Europe’s quiet workshops
Copenhagen brass, Milanese plaster, hand-woven French rattan — small independent design houses, named by place, plainly.
Designed in Europe. Named honestly.
Nothing left to guess
Every dimension, bulb, IP rating and install note published before you buy — you and your electrician know exactly what arrives.
The spec sheet is the love letter.
Backed, properly
Two-year warranty as standard, 30-day returns. If something isn’t right, we’d rather know — and put it right.
A fitting should outlast the fashion that chose it.
