Product Care Guide
Plaster
Dust with a soft, dry cloth only. Plaster is porous, so avoid all liquid cleaners — they'll stain or mark the surface. Raw plaster fittings can be painted: use a matte emulsion in two thin coats, allowing each to dry fully before powering on. Don't install in bathrooms or other damp areas unless the IP rating allows it.
Brass & metal
Brass develops a natural patina over time, which most people prefer. To keep the current finish, wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth. For a brighter look, use a brass-specific polish sparingly. Never use lemon, vinegar, or abrasive cleaners — these damage lacquered brass irreversibly. Polished chrome and nickel finishes can be wiped with a damp microfibre cloth.
Glass
Wipe with a soft, damp cloth and dry thoroughly to avoid water marks. For stubborn marks, a mild glass cleaner is fine. Always ensure the fitting is switched off and fully cool before cleaning.
Fabric shades
Dust with a soft brush or vacuum on the lowest setting using an upholstery attachment. Avoid wet cleaning — fabric shades can stain, warp, or shrink. Spot-clean small marks only with a barely-damp microfibre cloth.
Ceramic
Glazed ceramic can be wiped with a soft, damp cloth and a mild soap solution. Unglazed or matte ceramic should be kept dry and dusted only. Always ensure the fitting is switched off and cool first.
Before you clean
Switch off at the wall and let the fitting cool fully. Never spray cleaner directly onto a fitting — apply to a cloth first. If your fitting has visible wiring, electrical components, or LED drivers exposed, keep moisture well away from these areas.

Does the Kyra outdoor wall light need to be installed by a qualified electrician?
Yes, as this is a Class I hardwired fitting, it must be installed by a competent person in accordance with UK Building Regulations Part P. The fitting requires connection to mains wiring and proper earthing, so we recommend using a qualified electrician to ensure safe installation and compliance.
Is this wall light suitable for exposed outdoor locations?
The Kyra has an IP54 rating, meaning it's protected against dust and water splashes from any direction. This makes it suitable for covered outdoor areas such as porches, covered patios, and under eaves, but it's not fully weatherproof for completely exposed locations subject to heavy rain or direct water jets.
Can I replace the LED bulbs in this fitting?
No, this fitting uses integrated LED technology, meaning the LEDs are built directly into the unit and cannot be replaced. The 6W integrated LEDs are designed for a long lifespan (typically 20,000+ hours), and if they eventually fail, the entire fitting would need replacing rather than just a bulb.
What colour temperature is the light output?
This wall light produces warm white light at 2700K, which gives a soft, inviting glow similar to traditional incandescent bulbs. This colour temperature is ideal for creating ambient outdoor lighting around entrances, patios, and garden areas.
What are the dimensions and how much space does it need for installation?
The Kyra measures 170mm wide, 40mm high, and projects 80mm from the wall. You'll need to ensure there's sufficient clearance around the mounting area and that your wall box or fixing points can accommodate these dimensions. The compact profile makes it suitable for mounting beside doorways or on pillars without protruding excessively.
Is this outdoor wall light dimmable?
The specifications don't indicate dimming capability, so this fitting should be treated as non-dimmable. Installing it on a dimmer circuit could cause flickering, buzzing, or damage to the integrated LED driver, so it should be connected to a standard switched circuit only.
