Product Care Guide
Plaster
Dust with a soft, dry cloth only. Plaster is porous, so avoid all liquid cleaners — they'll stain or mark the surface. Raw plaster fittings can be painted: use a matte emulsion in two thin coats, allowing each to dry fully before powering on. Don't install in bathrooms or other damp areas unless the IP rating allows it.
Brass & metal
Brass develops a natural patina over time, which most people prefer. To keep the current finish, wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth. For a brighter look, use a brass-specific polish sparingly. Never use lemon, vinegar, or abrasive cleaners — these damage lacquered brass irreversibly. Polished chrome and nickel finishes can be wiped with a damp microfibre cloth.
Glass
Wipe with a soft, damp cloth and dry thoroughly to avoid water marks. For stubborn marks, a mild glass cleaner is fine. Always ensure the fitting is switched off and fully cool before cleaning.
Fabric shades
Dust with a soft brush or vacuum on the lowest setting using an upholstery attachment. Avoid wet cleaning — fabric shades can stain, warp, or shrink. Spot-clean small marks only with a barely-damp microfibre cloth.
Ceramic
Glazed ceramic can be wiped with a soft, damp cloth and a mild soap solution. Unglazed or matte ceramic should be kept dry and dusted only. Always ensure the fitting is switched off and cool first.
Before you clean
Switch off at the wall and let the fitting cool fully. Never spray cleaner directly onto a fitting — apply to a cloth first. If your fitting has visible wiring, electrical components, or LED drivers exposed, keep moisture well away from these areas.

Does the Livigno wall light need to be installed by a qualified electrician?
Yes, as this is a hardwired wall light, installation must comply with Part P of the Building Regulations in England and Wales. Unless you're a competent person registered with a scheme like NICEIC or NAPIT, you'll need a qualified electrician to connect it safely to your mains circuit and issue the necessary certification.
What type of bulbs does this wall light take and are they included?
The Livigno uses 2× G9 capsule bulbs with a maximum wattage of 25W each. Bulbs are not included, so you'll need to purchase them separately. Because the fitting is fully dimmable, choose dimmable G9 LEDs if you plan to use it with a dimmer switch.
Can I use this plaster wall light in a bathroom?
No, this fitting is rated for indoor use only and has no IP rating, making it unsuitable for bathrooms or other wet or moisture-prone areas. It's best suited to dry interior spaces like hallways, living rooms, and bedrooms where there's no exposure to water or steam.
