Product Care Guide
Plaster
Dust with a soft, dry cloth only. Plaster is porous, so avoid all liquid cleaners — they'll stain or mark the surface. Raw plaster fittings can be painted: use a matte emulsion in two thin coats, allowing each to dry fully before powering on. Don't install in bathrooms or other damp areas unless the IP rating allows it.
Brass & metal
Brass develops a natural patina over time, which most people prefer. To keep the current finish, wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth. For a brighter look, use a brass-specific polish sparingly. Never use lemon, vinegar, or abrasive cleaners — these damage lacquered brass irreversibly. Polished chrome and nickel finishes can be wiped with a damp microfibre cloth.
Glass
Wipe with a soft, damp cloth and dry thoroughly to avoid water marks. For stubborn marks, a mild glass cleaner is fine. Always ensure the fitting is switched off and fully cool before cleaning.
Fabric shades
Dust with a soft brush or vacuum on the lowest setting using an upholstery attachment. Avoid wet cleaning — fabric shades can stain, warp, or shrink. Spot-clean small marks only with a barely-damp microfibre cloth.
Ceramic
Glazed ceramic can be wiped with a soft, damp cloth and a mild soap solution. Unglazed or matte ceramic should be kept dry and dusted only. Always ensure the fitting is switched off and cool first.
Before you clean
Switch off at the wall and let the fitting cool fully. Never spray cleaner directly onto a fitting — apply to a cloth first. If your fitting has visible wiring, electrical components, or LED drivers exposed, keep moisture well away from these areas.

Does the Loren outdoor wall light need to be installed by a qualified electrician?
Yes, as this is a Class I hardwired fitting, it must be installed by a qualified electrician in compliance with UK Building Regulations Part P. The fitting requires a proper earth connection and should be wired into your mains circuit via a suitable outdoor junction box or directly from an indoor switch.
Is this wall light suitable for exposed outdoor locations in UK weather?
Yes, the Loren has an IP65 rating, meaning it's fully protected against dust and water jets from any direction. This makes it suitable for exposed outdoor walls, patios, porches, and garden areas where it will be subjected to rain and UK weather conditions.
Can I replace the LED bulb in this fitting when it stops working?
No, this is an integrated LED fitting where the 6W LED module is built permanently into the unit and cannot be replaced. Integrated LEDs typically last 25,000-50,000 hours (around 15-25 years with normal domestic use), after which the entire fitting would need replacing.
