Good to know
A few questions,
before it comes home.
Does the Loren outdoor wall light need to be installed by a qualified electrician?
Yes, as this is a Class I hardwired fitting, it must be installed by a qualified electrician in compliance with UK Building Regulations Part P. The fitting requires a proper earth connection and should be wired into your mains circuit via a suitable outdoor junction box or directly from an indoor switch.
Is this wall light suitable for exposed outdoor locations in UK weather?
Yes, the Loren has an IP65 rating, meaning it's fully protected against dust and water jets from any direction. This makes it suitable for exposed outdoor walls, patios, porches, and garden areas where it will be subjected to rain and UK weather conditions.
Can I replace the LED bulb in this fitting when it stops working?
No, this is an integrated LED fitting where the 6W LED module is built permanently into the unit and cannot be replaced. Integrated LEDs typically last 25,000-50,000 hours (around 15-25 years with normal domestic use), after which the entire fitting would need replacing.
Is the Loren LED wall light dimmable?
The specifications do not indicate dimming capability, so this fitting should be assumed non-dimmable. Installing it on a dimmer circuit could cause flickering, reduced lifespan, or damage to the LED driver unless explicitly confirmed otherwise with the manufacturer.
What colour temperature does this outdoor wall light produce?
This fitting produces a warm white light at 3000K, which creates a welcoming, cosy glow ideal for residential outdoor spaces. The 3000K colour temperature is softer than cool white and works well for entrance areas, patios, and garden walls where you want ambient rather than stark security lighting.
What are the exact dimensions of this wall light?
The Loren measures 160mm wide, 80mm high, and projects just 39mm from the wall. This compact, low-profile design makes it suitable for narrow spaces beside doorways or on smaller garden walls where a bulkier fitting would be too obtrusive.
