A little magic after dark.
The exposed-bulb Luminar takes the same precision-machined Danish cylinder as the spotlight and opens it up, letting the filament sit proud of the fitting so the bulb becomes the ornament. In brushed brass, it throws a warm, decorative glow above and below the fixture — pair it with a spiral or globe filament bulb and it works as much as wall jewellery as it does a light source. Equally at home flanking a bed, lining a hallway or running along the back of a bar.
Made by Rama Lights in Copenhagen from solid brushed brass, the ribbed head rotates 330° and tilts 90°, so you can angle the glow exactly where you want it. The box mount bracket fixes flush to the wall with a 60mm diameter x 30mm rose, and the fixture itself measures 50mm diameter x 100mm. Takes one E27 bulb up to 60W (not included) and dims with a compatible dimmer. Hardwired, indoor use only.

Does the Luminar brass wall lamp need to be installed by a qualified electrician?
Yes, as this is a hardwired Class I fitting, it must be installed by a qualified electrician in compliance with Part P of the Building Regulations. The Luminar connects directly to your mains wiring and requires an earth connection. If you're replacing an existing wall light with a BESA box already in place, installation is typically straightforward for a spark.
What type of bulb does this wall light take and is one included?
The Luminar uses a standard E27 Edison Screw (ES) bulb with a maximum wattage of 60W. No bulb is included, so you'll need to purchase one separately. Given the exposed-bulb design, decorative filament bulbs such as spiral, globe, or squirrel cage styles work particularly well to showcase the fitting's open design.
Can this brass wall lamp be used with a dimmer switch?
Yes, the Luminar is fully dimmable when paired with a trailing edge dimmer switch and a dimmable E27 bulb. You'll need to ensure both the dimmer and bulb are compatible—trailing edge dimmers work best with LED and low-voltage lamps. The fitting itself supports dimming, but the final result depends on your choice of bulb.
What are the dimensions of this wall light and how far does it stick out from the wall?
The Luminar measures 100mm in height, 60mm in width, and has a diameter of 50mm. As a surface-mounted cylindrical box fitting, it sits relatively flush to the wall with minimal projection, making it well-suited to hallways, alcoves, or anywhere space is at a premium. The exposed bulb will extend beyond the fitting itself, so factor in an additional 100-150mm depending on your bulb choice.
Is this wall light suitable for use in a bathroom?
No, the Luminar has an IP20 rating, which means it's only suitable for dry indoor locations and offers no protection against moisture. It cannot be used in bathrooms or any zones where water or high humidity is present. For bathroom lighting, you'll need a fitting with a minimum IP44 rating (or IP65 for shower zones).
What warranty does this wall light come with and is it covered by UK consumer law?
This fitting comes with a 2-year manufacturer's warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship. You're also protected under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, which means the product must be as described, fit for purpose, and of satisfactory quality. If any faults develop within six years of purchase that were present at the time of sale, you may have additional rights beyond the manufacturer's warranty.
