A little magic after dark.
The exposed-bulb Luminar takes the same precision-machined Danish cylinder as the spotlight and opens it up, letting the filament sit proud of the fitting so the bulb becomes the ornament. In matt chrome, it throws a warm, decorative glow above and below the fixture — pair it with a spiral or globe filament bulb and it works as much as wall jewellery as it does a light source. Equally at home flanking a bed, lining a hallway or running along the back of a bar.
Made by Rama Lights in Copenhagen from matt chrome-finished steel, the ribbed head rotates 330° and tilts 90°, so you can angle the glow exactly where you want it. The box mount bracket fixes flush to the wall with a 60mm diameter x 30mm rose, and the fixture itself measures 50mm diameter x 100mm. Takes one E27 bulb up to 60W (not included) and dims with a compatible dimmer. Hardwired, indoor use only.

Does the Luminar Box Mount Wall Lamp require an electrician to install?
Yes, this is a hardwired Class I fitting and must be installed by a qualified electrician in compliance with Part P of the Building Regulations. It will need to be connected directly to your mains circuit, typically via a BESA backbox or standard wall mounting point. The fitting weighs 1kg and mounts to the wall surface, so ensure the substrate can support it securely.
What type of bulb does this wall light use and is one included?
The Luminar uses a standard E27 Edison Screw (ES) bulb with a maximum wattage of 60W, but no bulb is included with the fitting. Because the bulb sits exposed and proud of the cylindrical housing, decorative filament bulbs—such as spiral, globe, or vintage-style LED filaments—work particularly well to showcase the design. Choose a warm white LED for the best decorative effect.
Can this wall lamp be dimmed?
Yes, the Luminar is dimmable when fitted with a dimmable E27 bulb and used with a trailing edge dimmer switch. Trailing edge dimmers are designed for LED and low-energy bulbs, so ensure your dimmer is compatible with the bulb type you choose. The fitting itself supports dimming, but the final result depends on both the bulb and dimmer quality.
What are the dimensions of this wall light?
The Luminar has a compact cylindrical profile: 100mm in height, 60mm in width, and 50mm in diameter. Its slim, surface-mounted design makes it ideal for flanking mirrors, positioning in hallways, or installing as a pair in smaller spaces where a decorative accent light is needed without visual bulk.
Is this wall lamp suitable for bathrooms?
No, with an IP20 rating, the Luminar is not protected against moisture and is only suitable for indoor use in dry areas. It cannot be installed in bathrooms or any zones where water exposure is possible. For bathroom lighting, you'll need a fitting rated at least IP44 or higher depending on the zone.
What warranty does this wall light come with?
