Product Care Guide
Plaster
Dust with a soft, dry cloth only. Plaster is porous, so avoid all liquid cleaners — they'll stain or mark the surface. Raw plaster fittings can be painted: use a matte emulsion in two thin coats, allowing each to dry fully before powering on. Don't install in bathrooms or other damp areas unless the IP rating allows it.
Brass & metal
Brass develops a natural patina over time, which most people prefer. To keep the current finish, wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth. For a brighter look, use a brass-specific polish sparingly. Never use lemon, vinegar, or abrasive cleaners — these damage lacquered brass irreversibly. Polished chrome and nickel finishes can be wiped with a damp microfibre cloth.
Glass
Wipe with a soft, damp cloth and dry thoroughly to avoid water marks. For stubborn marks, a mild glass cleaner is fine. Always ensure the fitting is switched off and fully cool before cleaning.
Fabric shades
Dust with a soft brush or vacuum on the lowest setting using an upholstery attachment. Avoid wet cleaning — fabric shades can stain, warp, or shrink. Spot-clean small marks only with a barely-damp microfibre cloth.
Ceramic
Glazed ceramic can be wiped with a soft, damp cloth and a mild soap solution. Unglazed or matte ceramic should be kept dry and dusted only. Always ensure the fitting is switched off and cool first.
Before you clean
Switch off at the wall and let the fitting cool fully. Never spray cleaner directly onto a fitting — apply to a cloth first. If your fitting has visible wiring, electrical components, or LED drivers exposed, keep moisture well away from these areas.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does the Livigno wall light need to be installed by a qualified electrician?
Yes, as this is a hardwired wall light, installation falls under Part P of the Building Regulations in England and Wales. You'll need a qualified electrician or competent person registered with an approved scheme to carry out the wiring and certify the work. The fitting itself is rated as easy to install once the electrical connections are in place.
What type of bulbs does this wall light use and are they included?
The Livigno requires two G9 capsule bulbs with a maximum wattage of 25W each. Bulbs are not included with the fitting, so you'll need to purchase them separately. For best results with dimming, opt for warm white dimmable LED G9 bulbs rated for use with trailing edge dimmers.
Can the Livigno silver leaf wall light be dimmed?
Yes, this wall light is fully dimmable when paired with a compatible trailing edge dimmer switch and dimmable G9 bulbs. Trailing edge dimmers are specifically designed for LED and low-voltage lighting, ensuring smooth dimming without flickering. Both the dimmer and bulbs must support dimming for the system to work correctly.
What are the dimensions of this wall light and how much space does it need?
The Livigno measures 390mm wide, 110mm deep (projection from wall), and 60mm high, with a gentle crescent profile. This compact depth makes it suitable for hallways and smaller spaces where you need ambient uplight without the fitting protruding too far from the wall. It weighs 730g and comes with a 1-metre cable for connection.
Can this wall light be used in a bathroom?
No, the Livigno has an IP20 rating, which means it offers no protection against moisture and is only suitable for dry indoor locations. For bathroom use, you would need a fitting rated at least IP44 (or IP65 for shower zones), so this light is best reserved for living rooms, bedrooms, and hallways.
What warranty does the Livigno wall light come with?
This wall light is covered by a 2-year manufacturer's warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. The fitting is CE marked and RoHS compliant, meeting UK safety and environmental standards. As a Class II double-insulated product, it doesn't require an earth connection during installation.
