Danish-made to exacting standards, this adjustable spot features a solid brass head that's built to last. The compact design (5cm diameter, 10cm height) fits neatly onto your lighting track system without overwhelming the space. Requires one GU10 mini spot bulb (35mm diameter—smaller than standard GU10s) up to 60W, and is fully dimmable with a trailing edge dimmer for complete ambience control. Track and adapter sold separately.

Does this track spotlight need to be installed by an electrician?
Yes, this is a hardwired track lighting fitting classified as moderate installation difficulty, and under Building Regulations Part P, you must use a qualified electrician for installation. The Luminar connects directly to a track lighting system's electrical supply and requires safe connection to your mains circuit. The electrician will fit the supplied track adapter and ensure proper earthing, as this is a Class I fitting.
What type of bulb does the Luminar track spotlight take and is one included?
This fitting takes a single GU10 bulb with a maximum wattage of 60W, but no bulb is included in the box. You'll need to purchase a GU10 bulb separately—we recommend an LED bulb in warm white (2700K-3000K) to complement the browned brass finish. GU10 bulbs are readily available and simply twist-lock into place without tools.
Can this spotlight be dimmed and what dimmer switch do I need?
Yes, this fitting is dimmable, but you must use a trailing edge dimmer switch and pair it with a dimmable GU10 bulb. Trailing edge dimmers are designed for LED and low-voltage lighting and prevent flickering or buzzing. Both the dimmer switch and a dimmable-rated bulb are required—if either is non-dimmable, the system won't dim properly.
What are the dimensions of this track spotlight?
The Luminar measures 100mm in height and 50mm in diameter, making it a compact cylindrical spotlight suitable for standard ceiling track systems. At 2kg, it's a substantial solid brass fitting, so ensure your track system is rated to support this weight per spotlight. The ribbed cylinder design adds visual presence while remaining sleek enough for most residential ceiling heights.
Can I use this spotlight in a bathroom?
No, this spotlight is rated IP20, which means it has no moisture protection and is suitable for indoor dry locations only. Bathrooms require minimum IP44 rating (or IP65 in shower zones), so this browned brass track light is not safe or compliant for bathroom use. It's ideal for living rooms, hallways, kitchens (away from sinks), and studies where moisture isn't a concern.
What warranty does this browned brass track spotlight come with?
This fitting comes with a 2-year manufacturer warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship. The solid brass construction and quality finish are built to last, but the warranty provides peace of mind should any manufacturing faults arise. Note that the warranty covers the fitting itself—bulbs are consumable items and aren't covered.
