The Beno uses an E14 small Edison screw bulb with a maximum wattage of 12W. E14 bulbs are smaller than standard E27 fittings, so check the cap size carefully when purchasing. The bulb is not included, so you'll need to buy one separately—choose an LED candle or golf ball style to keep within the 12W limit and consider a filament design to complement the amber glass.
Can I dim this spotlight and what type of dimmer do I need?
Yes, the Beno is dimmable, but you must use a dimmable E14 bulb and a trailing edge dimmer switch. Trailing edge dimmers are designed for LED bulbs and provide smoother, flicker-free dimming compared to older leading edge types. Both the bulb and dimmer must be compatible for successful dimming—check the bulb packaging confirms it's dimmable before purchasing.
Do I need an electrician to install this ceiling spotlight?
