Yes, this is a hardwired pendant light and must be installed by a qualified electrician in compliance with UK Building Regulations Part P. The fitting connects directly to your mains ceiling wiring, typically via a BESA box or ceiling rose. Installation is rated as easy for a competent electrician, and the fitting is suitable for plasterboard, timber joist, or concrete ceilings.
What type of bulb does this pendant take and is it dimmable?
The Corda uses a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb with a maximum wattage of 12W, and bulbs are not included. It is dimmable when fitted with a dimmable E27 bulb and paired with a compatible trailing edge dimmer switch. We recommend choosing an LED filament bulb in warm white (2700K) to complement the gold interior and natural rope aesthetic.
What are the dimensions and is the drop height adjustable?
The pendant measures 250mm in diameter and 300mm in depth, with a total hanging height of 1200mm including the 1.2-metre cable. The drop height is adjustable, so your electrician can shorten the cable during installation to suit your ceiling height and room layout. This makes it versatile for standard or higher ceilings.
