Product Care Guide
Plaster
Dust with a soft, dry cloth only. Plaster is porous, so avoid all liquid cleaners — they'll stain or mark the surface. Raw plaster fittings can be painted: use a matte emulsion in two thin coats, allowing each to dry fully before powering on. Don't install in bathrooms or other damp areas unless the IP rating allows it.
Brass & metal
Brass develops a natural patina over time, which most people prefer. To keep the current finish, wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth. For a brighter look, use a brass-specific polish sparingly. Never use lemon, vinegar, or abrasive cleaners — these damage lacquered brass irreversibly. Polished chrome and nickel finishes can be wiped with a damp microfibre cloth.
Glass
Wipe with a soft, damp cloth and dry thoroughly to avoid water marks. For stubborn marks, a mild glass cleaner is fine. Always ensure the fitting is switched off and fully cool before cleaning.
Fabric shades
Dust with a soft brush or vacuum on the lowest setting using an upholstery attachment. Avoid wet cleaning — fabric shades can stain, warp, or shrink. Spot-clean small marks only with a barely-damp microfibre cloth.
Ceramic
Glazed ceramic can be wiped with a soft, damp cloth and a mild soap solution. Unglazed or matte ceramic should be kept dry and dusted only. Always ensure the fitting is switched off and cool first.
Before you clean
Switch off at the wall and let the fitting cool fully. Never spray cleaner directly onto a fitting — apply to a cloth first. If your fitting has visible wiring, electrical components, or LED drivers exposed, keep moisture well away from these areas.

The softness of the Halo drum, in a low-profile form
Compact antique brass flush
A 310mm round antique brass cylinder, lined with clear ribbed glass and sat close to the ceiling — the architectural softness of the Halo drum range in a low-profile form.
Designed for standard ceilings
A slim 215mm projection means the Halo Flush sits close to standard 2.4m ceilings without crowding the room — ideal where a hanging pendant would feel too heavy overhead.
Single E27, dimmable
A single dimmable E27 LED bulb (sold separately) up to 10W casts a soft, layered glow through vertical ribs of clear glass — pair with a warm-white opal or filament bulb for the most ambient effect.

Layered, fragmented, warm
Clear ribbed glass fragments the light from a single E27 bulb into soft vertical bands, washing the wall and ceiling in a warm, diffuse glow rather than a single hard pool. Best paired with warm-white (2700K) opal or filament bulbs on a dimmer.

Questions
Does the Halo flush light need an electrician to install, or can I fit it myself?
The Halo is hardwired to the mains and must be installed by a qualified electrician in accordance with UK Building Regulations Part P. It mounts to a standard ceiling plate or BESA box and is rated Class I, so requires an earth connection. Installation difficulty is rated as easy for a competent electrician.
What bulb does the Halo antique brass flush light take, and is it dimmable?
The fitting requires one E27 ES (Edison Screw) bulb with a maximum wattage of 10W. It is fully dimmable and supports switchable CCT bulbs, so you can use smart bulbs that allow you to change between warm and cool white tones. The bulb is not included.
What size is the Halo flush ceiling light, and how far does it hang down?
The Halo measures 310mm in diameter with a projection of just 215mm from the ceiling, making it ideal for rooms with lower ceilings. Its compact drum profile suits hallways, smaller dining rooms, and bedrooms where a traditional pendant would hang too low.
Can I use this flush light in a bathroom or ensuite?
No, the Halo has an IP20 rating, which means it is not protected against moisture and is only suitable for dry indoor areas. For bathrooms, you would need a fitting rated at least IP44 (or IP65 for shower zones).
What kind of light does the ribbed glass give off — is it bright or more ambient?
The clear ribbed glass diffuses light into soft, layered bands rather than a harsh direct beam, creating a warm ambient glow that washes across ceilings and walls. The vertical ribs fragment the light for a textured, architectural effect rather than a single bright pool, making it ideal for atmospheric hallway or dining lighting.
What warranty does the Halo flush light come with?
The fitting is covered by a 2-year manufacturer's warranty from National Lighting. This covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal domestic use, though bulbs are typically excluded from warranty coverage.

The Enso Standard
Anyone can sell you a light.
We’d rather sell you the right one.
Lighting, considered.
Chosen, not stocked
For every piece here, we passed on hundreds. If a fitting doesn’t earn its place, it isn’t here.
Curation is mostly the art of saying no.
Held to one standard
Copenhagen brass or precision-built LED — every piece is vetted the same way: finish, build, light quality, safety. If it doesn’t pass, it doesn’t stay.
The standard doesn’t care what a light costs.
Nothing left to guess
Every dimension, bulb, IP rating and install note published before you buy — you and your electrician know exactly what arrives.
The spec sheet is the love letter.
Backed, properly
Two-year warranty as standard, 30-day returns. If something isn’t right, we’d rather know — and put it right.
A fitting should outlast the fashion that chose it.
