Product Care Guide
Plaster
Dust with a soft, dry cloth only. Plaster is porous, so avoid all liquid cleaners — they'll stain or mark the surface. Raw plaster fittings can be painted: use a matte emulsion in two thin coats, allowing each to dry fully before powering on. Don't install in bathrooms or other damp areas unless the IP rating allows it.
Brass & metal
Brass develops a natural patina over time, which most people prefer. To keep the current finish, wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth. For a brighter look, use a brass-specific polish sparingly. Never use lemon, vinegar, or abrasive cleaners — these damage lacquered brass irreversibly. Polished chrome and nickel finishes can be wiped with a damp microfibre cloth.
Glass
Wipe with a soft, damp cloth and dry thoroughly to avoid water marks. For stubborn marks, a mild glass cleaner is fine. Always ensure the fitting is switched off and fully cool before cleaning.
Fabric shades
Dust with a soft brush or vacuum on the lowest setting using an upholstery attachment. Avoid wet cleaning — fabric shades can stain, warp, or shrink. Spot-clean small marks only with a barely-damp microfibre cloth.
Ceramic
Glazed ceramic can be wiped with a soft, damp cloth and a mild soap solution. Unglazed or matte ceramic should be kept dry and dusted only. Always ensure the fitting is switched off and cool first.
Before you clean
Switch off at the wall and let the fitting cool fully. Never spray cleaner directly onto a fitting — apply to a cloth first. If your fitting has visible wiring, electrical components, or LED drivers exposed, keep moisture well away from these areas.

Questions
Does the Kiro Ceramic Wall Light need to be installed by a qualified electrician?
Yes. The Kiro is a hardwired wall light and must be installed by a qualified electrician in compliance with UK Building Regulations Part P. It will typically connect to a standard BESA box or wall mounting point with mains electrical supply. As with all fixed wiring work, proper installation ensures safety and compliance.
Can this wall light be used with a dimmer switch?
Yes, the Kiro is dimmable. You'll need to fit a compatible dimmable G9 LED bulb (not included) and ensure your dimmer switch is rated for LED loads. For best results, use a trailing-edge dimmer designed for LEDs to avoid flickering or buzzing.
What type of bulb does the Kiro ceramic wall light take and is it included?
The Kiro uses a single G9 capsule bulb, which is not included. G9 bulbs are widely available in LED format from most lighting or hardware retailers. Choose a warm white (2700K-3000K) dimmable LED for the best ambient effect with the Babouche Yellow ceramic shade.
What are the exact dimensions of the small Kiro wall light?
The small Kiro measures 205mm wide, 165mm high, and projects 120mm from the wall. At 700g, it's relatively lightweight but substantial enough to feel well-made. These compact dimensions make it ideal for hallways, alcoves, or either side of a bed.
Can I use this wall light in a bathroom?
No. The Kiro has an IP20 rating, which means it's only suitable for dry indoor locations and offers no protection against moisture. For bathroom use, you'd need a fitting rated at least IP44 (or IP65 for shower zones).
Does the Kiro throw light into the room or just onto the wall?
The Kiro's cone-shaped ceramic shade directs light both upwards and downwards, washing the wall in a soft glow rather than projecting into the room. This makes it ideal for ambient or accent lighting rather than task lighting, creating a warm architectural effect with minimal glare.
The Enso Standard
Anyone can sell you a light.
We’d rather sell you the right one.
Lighting, considered.
Chosen, not stocked
For every piece here, we passed on hundreds. If a fitting doesn’t earn its place, it isn’t here.
Curation is mostly the art of saying no.
From Europe’s quiet workshops
Copenhagen brass, Milanese plaster, hand-woven French rattan — small independent design houses, named by place, plainly.
Designed in Europe. Named honestly.
Nothing left to guess
Every dimension, bulb, IP rating and install note published before you buy — you and your electrician know exactly what arrives.
The spec sheet is the love letter.
Backed, properly
Two-year warranty as standard, 30-day returns. If something isn’t right, we’d rather know — and put it right.
A fitting should outlast the fashion that chose it.
